Very nice hotel. Great value.
Just one issue with the room: Sheer curtains don't block out light... See full review

It was as advertised
The hotel was clean, reasonably roomy for midtown, and the staff was polite and friendly. See full review

I was supposed to have a single bed room but instead got a double bed room which was fine, but overall the room just wasn't very comfortable. There was literally one outlet located on the lamp post and it was so old it didn't hold the actual
prongs for my charger so it fell out constantly. Also I was there on business, so for me the desk space was a little small and again i could only plug one thing in at a time (barely). I also didn't like how the shower came straight down so even though I didn't want to get my hair wet, it was almost impossible for it not to even though the hotel does provide shower caps, but those never work for my hair.
Overall the place served its purpose, more annoying than anything serious.
I was completely satisfied with my stay. The personnel were
all friendly, courteous & extremely helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again. My extra bonus was that the hotel is extremely close to the family (grandchildren) I had
come to N.Y
I actually booked this hotel thinking it was its sister - The Fitzpatrick Grand Central. I obviously liked the first one enough to stay again, but this location is even more convenient and gracious. The room was spacious and I enjoyed the
amenities of a fresh fruit bowl waiting for me in my room and the comfy robe.
The suite we had was huge and had a separate living room with flat screen TV, which is a far cry from the usual claustrophobic manhattan hotel rooms.
The bedroom had its own flat panel TV and a walk in closet!
There is also a separate bar area
with sink and mini fridge. This hotel room is bigger than many 1 bedroom apartments in Manhattan at 625 sq ft.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Some minor drawbacks are the dated decor and the elevators (2 total) that's shared by guest and service, and seemed to have stayed in the basement level for 7 minutes while guests waited on the lobby floor.
Overall very satisfied and will come back to The Fitzpatrick at 57th and Lex again, especially for any business on the east side.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Johnny Rockets is open 24 hrs, despite website stating differently.
Everything was perfect from the valet parking to the service and the room. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was spectacular. The whole atmosphere of the hotel was over the top.
We will be back.................
