Fantastic place to stay in new york!
Me and my fiancè stayed at the Eventi Hotel for a week and it did not dissapoint! Location, service room comfort everything really was perfect. We will definately stay at this hotel again on another visit to New York. And i must say that the pictures on the site are as accurate as it can be. It really was what we expected and more. So would highly recommend :)

Thumbs up for Eventi
After reading many hotel reviews, I decided on Eventi. It was the highlight of my trip. I cannot walk well, and was in need of a very comfortable room centrally located so that I could rest when needed. This hotel was the most superb of any I have ever stayed in. The wine hour was great, saved some cash. Cheap wine, but that was expected. Only catch was you had to find it on the 2nd floor. It was advertised online as being on the 5th floor patio, which was empty. The room was large and had a nice view, what an unexpected treat! Also, the staff helped hail cabs. They were happy to pick up passengers from this hotel, since it is higher end. I will stay at Kimpton hotels in the future whenever possible.

The hotel menu can seem pricey, but considering the lovely view and the price of a cab, it is well worth it to dine in. We went to another restaurant and wished we had stayed in the hotel, as it was a much better value and more convenient.

The Minor Things Will Get You
Overall, I had a decent experience. However, one night when my AC stopped blowing out cold air, it made for a very uncomfortable night. They refunded me $25 toward my restaurant tab for the inconvenience. Then, there was also the massive construction noise directly next door that started around 6:30am everyday. So, don't stay up late if you stay here. And, lastly, the furniture is that modern, very uncomfortable type that hurts if you sit on it for more than 10 minutes at a time. I know you're supposed to be out and about a lot, but for those who are there for business need a comfortable place to work sitting down for a few hours at a time. Amenities are plenty, location is great (right around from 34th), cleanliness is great, and the staff were mostly nice. If you need anything, I highly recommend asking Stephen at the front desk. He's the man, and can help you with anything.

Love the wine hour!
Overall, I'd say that the experience of staying at Eventi was good. Think the wine hour definitely helped to keep us sweet as the room service was pretty appalling (and expensive!). The hotel lost points for not replacing the bathroom amenities (shower gel, shampoo etc.). Also, this is the only 4 star hotel I've stayed at where toothbrushes are not provided. Not a problem if we were familiar with the area, but a tad inconvenient spending the evening looking for a convenience store when we could have been exploring the sights. Location wise, this hotel is pretty central. Times Square is within walking distance. All in all, will definitely stay again but hope to see improvements.

We spent most of our time shopping. Check out Levis (Times Square) and American Apparel (Soho and in most districts) as they are a lot cheaper than the UK!

woodbury common was very good value for money and only a short bus ride do not buy tickets from touts outside the bus station cheaper inside

Terrible Service
We stayed here for a bachelorette party. The hotel service was one of the worst! We did not get maid service in our room for one of the days, we had to call many times for a coffe pot for our room, totally unresponsive! Considering we rented a suite, this is totally unacceptable! Would not stay here again!
