If you want to see a Broadway show and have a specific one in mind, bite the bullet and pay the price to get the tickets ahead of time. If you wait, you may be out of luck.

Wonderful Find

Our one-bedroom suite was larger than many NYC apartments. We wished we were staying for a month. Location was convenient for both mid-town or downtown activities. We frequently travel to NYC for medical appointments ans also pleasure: museum exhibits, jazz performances, shopping, and definitely plan to stay here again.

Best value in NYC

I have stayed at many hotels in NYC including Plaza and Pierre. This is the best value I have run across. Extremely large room with full kitchen, full living room and dinner table. All for less than $200 per night. Safe location on the East side. Definitely going back next time.

Not bad

The Hotel is old-fashioned (furniture and everything). The location is good enough and the offer made it a good choice. I would repeat it just depending on the price.

Too bad it's closing

My family & I enjoyed the Eastgate Hotel very much. The suite was spacious, clean and quiet and the staff were wonderful. We would definitely stay there again, except we learned that they will be closing in January. So sad.

A great place to stay for a great price!

If you're looking for a hotel that is reasonably priced for the area I would recommend this hotel! It wasn't too far from any of the "touristy" things we wanted to do. We walked all over: Empire state, herald square, times square, rockefeller center, central park, etc. And this was in December when it was chilly, but the walk wasn't too bad and when we decided to take a taxi when we got too tired the fare was never much more than $10-$15. The staff was SO friendly, and extremely helpful. The room we stated in, a 2 bed with pullout couch was much bigger than i expected, with one room with 2 beds, a full bath and then a 1/2 bath, huge living room with pull out couch and little kitchenette. If you're looking for a fancy up to date fashionable room, this isn't it, but it was clean, well kept, comfortable and fit our needs! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay without breaking the bank!

Stayed befoe and will probably stay again

We've stayed at the Eastgate Towers before and will probably stay again. We made the reservations through Cheap Tickets and it was only a little more than a place through HotWire. We really like the amount of space in the rooms and how convenient it is to just walk from Grand Central. The only downsides are that Wi-Fi and Internet were not included. I think they should be in this day and age.
