Will stay here again
The hotel was in a great location for us while visiting family. Our room was not ready when we checked in but the cleaning staff directed us to the roof terrace where we enjoyed fabulous views of the city while we waited. Our room was definitely on the small side and could have used more lighting and closet space but the hotel has so many other pluses to compensate...very clean, reasonably priced room with nice decor, access to subway located across the street, the roof top terrace, continental breakfast, and an extremely courteous and friendly staff.

Room was small, but clean and comfortable
Don't expect a very big room. I think I had two feet of clearance on each side of the bed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Don't expect much from the "included breakfast"; it's just coffee, bread and some pastries. That said, it's a fantastic deal for Manhattan so I'd stay there again.

Great Location for Lower East Side Hotel
I love the location of this hotel, easily accessible by Metro, and walking distance to Soho and China Town. Despite its appearance as a "Design Hotel", It does not have a lot of amenities. The rooms are a bit on the small side (but that's common in NYC) and the bed is a bit too soft for me. The WIFI is also spotty in the room. But for its value, it's still a very good choice for staying in the Lower East Side.

Short walk from hotel
For breakfast, skip the "continental breakfast" in the hotel basement and go around the corner to Whole-Food for better and healthier choices.

Great Little Hotel
I have stayed at this hotel before, and I will again. It has a great location, a nice and very helpful staff, and good amenities. The rooftop deck is great for early morning coffee or glass of wine at the end of the day.

Great location, wonderful stay!
We checked in for a one-night stay to attend my university commencement... the place was small, but that's expected in a NYC hotel. Very clean and comfortable! The complimentary breakfast was nice. The only thing I'd note though was that whenever someone was out in the hall, you could hear everything - thank goodness the guests were quiet for the most part. I'd recommend this place if you're there by yourself or with a SO.

Great place, with a few small flaws
Great location, stylish interior, helpful and friendly staff. The only complaints are rather small: no wifi on the roof terrace (though available everywhere else in the hotel); bathroom door in my room wouldn't stay fully open or fully closed...in the rather small bathroom, this was an inconvenience for sure. I recommend bringing minimal luggage, as there's no where to store it in the room (at least in the single room I had).

Apizz (217 Eldridge, just down the block from the hotel) was suggested by one of the helpful and friendly staff at the hotel. Was a great find for a late-night dinner after having just arrived. Excellent Italian food and extensive drink menu.

Nice Hotel & Great Service
This is a nice hotel, but there were two things we didn't like. First the room was very tiny. We've stayed in Manhattan before, so we know rooms can be small, but this was very cramped and made it uncomfortable. Second, although right on top of a metro station, it's on the F line that runs East-West on Houston and it means that going almost anywhere required a transfer. Two things we did like were the roof top deck with a magnificent view of the skyline and the free breakfast.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Sara Roosevelt Park, which is a narrow but stretches 7 blocks, is right by the hotel. Lots of activities on each block.
