Not as great as it claims

Room was worn and bed just OK. Tiny rooms and industrial chic look. Hotel is really trying to be cool but rooms are OK - what was great was the windows and view - stunning. But the reason to stay here would be to club and try to be "somebody"

Disappointing for the price

The atmosphere is awesome at this hotel. Great if you want to hang out at the bar/lounge and have cocktails. Very nice and modern feel to it. Down side, the room was disappointing for the price. Dirty area rug and smelt like urine. They are under construction so expect to hear noise from that. Not a lot of room which is expected for a NY hotel. It is located in a nice part of town. Walking distance to resaurants, quick cab ride to times square, central park...Its great hotel if you want a pricey place to party and dont care what the room is like. Personally, will not be repeating my stay here.

OK Hotel

A trendy hotel doesn't mean a great hotel. Barely any outlets in the small room and none in the bathroom. The pool is very crowded and it's impossible to get a chair.

trendy yet considerate

If it weren't for the good deal, I would have never stayed here. Dream Downtown is perfect for business in the front and party in the back kind of stay. Since it is a trendy hotel in a great location, a celeb spotting or two can't be missed. Be careful not to stay on the second or third floor if you plan on sleeping as the bass from the club below will surely keep you up. Staff was accommodating and professional. They moved me to a quieter floor the following night. I would not recommend this place if you want to avoid throngs of scenesters.

Highly recommend dream

Positioned nicely in the Meat-packing District, and two blocks from Chelsea Market, the location was excellent - especially for those driving (easy access to various highways, pkwys, & tunnels). Accomodations were excellent, and rooftop lounge has a terrific view with schnazzy bar seen. Rooms come equipped with sound machines, to lull you to sleep - wonderful feature in the noisy city! And the room service has a yummy menu - recommend the Kobe Patty Melt. Great for couples or singles traveling through!!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There are so many great restaurants within walking distance. Because Chelsea Market is just a couple blocks away, you'll find plenty of shopping and eating options in close proximity. They'll give you the NYC feeling without forcing you to go far.
