Where it's at
The Crowne Plaza was in the middle of everything. Step out the front door and you were there and with the dazzling orange sign it made it easy to find. But it needed some updating. The armoire was chipped(or beat up) in many places and I found that really surprising, but it was clean. I was never really in the room other than to sleep, so who cared, but I don't think I have ever stayed at a hotel whose furnishings(as in the furniture) needed true attention like theirs did. I would definitely stay there again as the location was paramount and all I needed was a bed (which was comfortable) and a shower and it had both. If you are looking for Times Square, this is the place to be.

Eat at Famiglia's pizza. Cheap and delicious. also, just taking a turn off the main drag (such as Broadway) can save u lots of $$$$$$$$$ and the food is really good. (for instance, we went to a restaraunt on Broadway where a cup of soup cost twice as much as one just a 1/2 block away on a side street) P Diddy says eat cheesecake at Juniors.

Excellent location to times square
Liked both the location and the fact the room was recently redone. The fact the hotel was still under construction was never disclosed to us frankly greatly disappointed us. There was no looby , no dining room. The staff was helpful but it was as if they were all new in that they did a poor job answering questions . Just not highly professional. The only redeeming quality was the room had just been redone and was very comfortable.

Great Location
The Crowne Plaza in Manhattan was in a great area, especially if you love all the activity in Times Square and like being near the theatre district. Our only complaint was something that could not be avoided and that was all the noise in the building due to remodeling. We were first placed on the 28th floor and woke to the intense sound of a jack hammer that went all day. We called guest services to find out the situation and requested to be moved, They were very understanding and had us moved to the 40th floor where you could not hear the noise. We were upgraded to one of the newly remodeled rooms and found them very impressive. We felt taken care of and had a good experience after that.

Disappointed This Time
We weren't allowed to check-in until 6 for one room and 7 for the other. We couldn't go to dinner and barely made it to our play. Toilet wasn't working for both days. Location is awesome.

Nice location
The Crowne Plaza Hotel Times Square was very comfortable. The room was nice sized. We checked in after 11pm and received the room. The only problem is that the water was shut of from 9am until 4pm every day of our stay. The last day the water was shut off at 8:30 am. The location of the hotel was perfect for everything we wanted to do. We had may restaurant locations within a few blocks.

OK Experience
The front of the hotel is being renovated, so we could not detect an entrance from the front--someone on the street saw us struggling with our luggage, and told us that we had to enter from the parking area in back. On two occasions during our stay, we didn't have enough linens for the bath. After calling the given no., and waiting about an hour, our linens had not arrived. I went to the lobby and requested in person; our linens were sent in about 15 min. The second time we were not given sufficient linens, I went to the lobby to report it to the front desk and linens were sent in about 15 min. The room was comfortable, and the location was convenient to sights and restaurants. The concierge was most accommodating.

Great Location
This was my second time to visit this hotel. I do like it and would stay there again but there are a few things I was not particularly happy about. The hotel was not ready for us to check in until 3:30 and we had to be at a show at 4:00. Our room was very hot, also. I called downstairs and they sent someone up to open our window (It was 26 degrees outside) and it was still very hot. Construction was also going on on the front entrance so we had to use the back. Other than that it's a great location and staff is very friendly. It's very clean, too.

If we just walk a few blocks behind our hotel (Hell's Kitchen)that there are lots of local restaurants much cheaper than in Time's Square. (You may need to take a cab...not sure exactly how far it was.)

Great Location
The hotel was under renovation as most generally are. The location was excellent as we travelled with children and they could easily keep up with Times Square events, Central Park and easy access to the subway.
