Great time in Times Square!
Went for a quick after the holidays and getaway and found this hotel on. The price was favorable, the location was the ultimate, the cleanliness was excellent. Everything you could ask for in the heart of Times Square....Would definately go back!

Wonderful vacation
This was my first trip to New York City. The hotel was perfect - great location & a view of Times Square. We did the tourist thing - used the grey line, loved the broadway show, lots of great eating places within a few blocks. Great experience.

Crown Plaza
The bartenders were terrific for information about the area and made wonderful recommendations regarding dining and shopping. They also all pour a nice glass of single malt, neat. The Five Napkins was great for a reasonable and delicious burger, a 5 minute walk. The piano bar, Don't Tell Your Mama, also very reasonable and a 5 minute walk. Great place to stay and I will return.

Nuts about New York
Great location and amenities
This was our first visit to New York and staying in the heart of Times Square was a plus. The hotel has a wonderful lobby and bar; a great place to hang out after a busy day on the streets; Subway nearby, lots of places to eat and broadway plays within walking distance. We would definately stay here again.

Wonderful experience
A few blocks from Times Square, from Central Park, and from subway lines. In spite of the location, very quiet rooms and a large hospitable lobby for collecting oneself. Beautiful large rooms. Impressive safe beyond the reception desk, use free with room. Concierge very friendly and helpful, occasionally incorrect (e.g., about subway prices, about best subway station to reach Bronx zoo) but far more often right.

Most of the standard tourist attractions (museums, skyscrapers, tours) are exorbitantly expensive -- often $30 per person. Next time I would buy a guide book ahead of time, look for less famous things to do, and choose carefully which of the more famous to do. However, it's a wonderful city and we have no regrets.

Can't ask for much more...
The location was excellent. Right in Times Square! Hotel had great sized rooms (especially for New York) and the area was safe for nighttime roaming. So close to Broadway shows and is the very best location for any nighttime activities.

We caught a few broadway events and wish we would have done even more - only 2 blocks (or less) from any show that we wanted to see - use the TKTS booth down on Front and John streets by Seaport area - no line every day!!

No critcisms,perfect hotel !!
It was five nights over Memorial Day weekend and we filled every day and night with fun activities. We recommend the 7 day subway unlimited card. Irish Pubs in area are fun.We were Grandpa,Mom, plus 18 and 24 year kids (?),all enjoyed the experience.Coney Island,Times Square,Brooklyn Bridge walk,East Village,Aircraft Carrier museum,Fantasticks musical and lots of eating.
