Courtyard by Marriott NY Upper East Side
This hotel worked out very well for us. It was located right next to FDR drive and has a parking garage across the street, which offered a discounted daily rate including one in/out privilege for guests of the hotel. We thought this was quite reasonable and it made moving around convenient. The pool is small and is only open 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening each weekday - something to consider if you are traveling with kids who want to spend more time there. The room was small which was fine with us, but a family of 4 might have needed a little more space. There were lots of shops and places to eat nearby, so we had plenty of choices for meals and errands in the neighborhood.

Long walk from hotel
For those who are not familiar with Manhattan, it is a bit of a walk to the Metropolitan Museum, possibly 10 to 15 minutes walking quickly. The hotel site makes it sound a little closer than it really is. Keep this in mind when making plans.

Great Find!
We were looking for a place close to where our daughter lives and didn't want to spend a fortune. Not a lot of options on the Upper East side. The staff was friendly, the room was on the small side but beautifully appointed. Would stay there again.

Personal travel to NYC
Courtyard by Marriott, Upper East Side, was superb! I selected this particular hotel because of the location and found it to be superior in many ways. The staff the the desk were amazingly supportive and helpful. I would stay there again!

Excellent stay
I traveled from Houston to NY for an interview and had a great stay at this Courtyard by Marriott! For the price, I was a little hesitant but I've stayed at other Courtyards and always had a great experience. I was pleasantly surprised. Front desk staff was very helpful with room information, taxi/transportation information, and all my other needs. I also had a quick bite to eat at the cafe in the hotel, which was pretty good and made-to-order. The room itself was very clean with FREE in-room wired internet. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was nice and quiet, so I had a good night's rest before my interview. I would DEFINITELY stay here again!!

The M31 bus goes straight down York Street toward downtown destinations. I took it straight to the New York Presbyterian Hospital / Cornell Medical Center on 68th Street and it was very convenient (and only $2.50, much cheaper than a cab!)

Great location for uptown NYC
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Security practices made sure that we felt comfortable. Everything was fully explained, and the room and the amenities were very good. Its location in a residential area offered local restaurants that should be frequented. We loved the location...perfect for us--easy to midtown and other arts of the city.

Clean, quiet Upper East Side location
Stayed there during a weekend NYC bike ride; staff was very accommodating on bike storage and allowing us to keep our bags in storage during the ride and letting us use health club for post-ride clean up; self-parking option from the hotel was a few steps away and relatively inexpensive for NYC - $25/day; neighborhood has lots of dining options; and is only 6 blocks from #4,5 express trains.
