Go the Empire State Building early in the morning. No waiting in line! Hardly any people.

The staff was extremely helpful
The staff was extremely helpful with all our needs and concerns. We had a problem with Orbitz and Mimi corrected the problem immediately. Would highly recommend and plan on going back!

Disappointing
Hotel room was located behind a noisy elevator shaft. When we called for a room change, they said they were booked and offered us 2 free breakfasts although there were 3 of us in the room. I asked them to offer it to all 3 of us, but they insisted that 2 was all they would do. The mattress was like a water bed--so soft that you could barely stay in it. The pull-out sofa was stained and dirty.

they were helpful always, room was fine, breakfast was great. wish weight room had more--it was pretty spare.

Good value for the money!
I've frequented Marriott for a couple decades and have grown to expect better than average lodging. My stay this time was no exception. The one thing that stands out with Marriott for me is their consistency whether you are in or out of the country.

Dull
What did I do: Stayed one night and used valet parking service. Missing: The front desk seemed very stripped; like a motel instead of a hotel. Usually, in other Marriotts, there are cookies (not that I take any, but the offer is welcoming), they offer me a bottle of water, etc. And not that it's important, but they didn't give me a elite member's sleeve nor a summary of points. Vs Previous trips: I paid lots of money to stay here; I've seen some nice Courtyards so I expected the one in mid-town to have been nicer than what I saw. It was disappointing.

Great location and value
Room was perfectly fine - what you would expect from any Courtyard. Location, especially for the price, was the ready great part.
