Good location, decent hotel
This hotel was a pretty good hotel for NYC. It is conveniently located near the Manhattan Bridge so it was easy access to both the delights of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The hotel neighborhood was very quiet but for some reason the neighbors we had in the hotel were VERY noisy that weekend (MLK weekend) but I think that had to do with acoustics. The room itself is smaller than a hotel room you would find elsewhere but that is because it's in NYC where all living spaces are small unless you shell out the big bucks. They had protective covers on the mattresses I assume to stave off any bed bugs invasions. The bathroom was clean and modern and the staff was very helpful in getting you anything else you might need amenity-wise. The only complaint I have is that the hotel claims the beds in the hotel are Queen size beds but they are definitely just a double. I have slept on a number of Queen size mattresses and theirs was not one of them! I would not recommend staying here if you really need a Queen size bed. Apart from that, everything with this hotel was wonderful and I would recommend it to others.

Short walk from hotel
There is a hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant that looked so dirty BUT had a long line out the door for their food. They seemed to serve roast meats such as chicken, pork, and duck, and serve that over rice. I went in when they were closing and had a piece of chicken. WOW. So delicious so I see why the line is long! The place doesn't have a name but if you come out of the hotel, take a left!

Enjoyable stay
My mom, sister, and I stayed at this hotel for a night. The hotel room was very neat and clean but a bit small. We didn't mind though since we were out the whole day and just came back to sleep. The location was very safe & convenient. Located in Chinatown across a big park and high school and also close to the subway station. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the city.

Cheap but crowded neighborhood
The hotel itself was good. Room was clean and staff were friendly. The only thing is that it's in Chinatown, which gets really crowded and has a horrible smell. You need to walk pass the crowds to get to the metro, which is not such a pleasant experience in the morning esp. At night it's quiet but the smell remains. But for the money, I guess it's worth it. Also, we traveled from DC - NY - Boston, so the fact that it's close to the Chinatown buses was a huge plus for us.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
There are fruit markets right outside so you can get some cheap and juicy fruits for the day. Also there are many eateries around, which is convenient.

Less than 2 blocks to the B and D Subway. Quick travel to all of Manhattan. Short walk to the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges.

Comfort Inn Manhattan Bridge/Chinatown
The hotel provided everything that I needed: quiet place to sleep, secure, spotless private bathroom. I didn't spend much time in the room (c'mon, it's NEW YORK CITY outside your door!), but it was everything I could have wanted and at a reasonable price. Short walk to the subway. And while Chinatown is bustling during the day, when I came back after the evening, it was almost deserted-in a good way. I didn't make it up for the complimentary breakfast, so I can't vouch for the toast, but the in-room coffee was handy.

Clean and good location
The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small, but I was a tourist so didn't spend too much time there. It was safe, clean and had a great location for walking and easy access to the Subway. I would stay here again.

More breakfast, please
Hotel was fine for a couple of nights of business, but I really hate complimentary breakfasts that are just toast. How about some eggs? Some bacon?

Had problems accessing the Subway. Not easily done with the cross-town transfer system in NYC. Will stay in a familiar area on next trip

Very affordable and better than adequate
Although this hotel provides only the basics, all of the necessary factors for a nice stay were there: essentially new-like condition, excellent reception, small but very adequate rooms, excellent maid service, a very interesting and historic location, near good restaurants and with good access to subways. 100% smoke-free was a real plus. Continental breakfast was very good except extremely small space for seating. Very attractive rates for these very adequate accomodations.
