Great staff, great location
I was searching for a place to stay after a friend's birthday bash - this was the perfect location. The staff was friendly, the location was ideal for me, the bed was super-comfortable and the room was very, very clean. I'd definitely stay here again.

LES / right on Ludlow street. total hipster-ville and right in the middle of it all. Clean room, great staff, great access to subway and food/bars. I mean, if you're just sleeping there, who cares how small.

great location and nice staff
The location is very good: close to subway station, close to nice restaurants/bars. Although our assigned room was not ready yet when we checked in (that's not that good), the staff took care of our luggage so we could go out. The room: bed and shower was good, quite quiet. And their complimentary breakfast was good and the waitress there was so nice!

Exceptional value in NYC
Stayed here two nights in October 2010. For $190 plus $30 taxes, this was exceptional value! The air-conditioned room was small, but had a large flat TV, free internet, a small refrigerator, an iron and board and a reasonable-sized bathroom with all the amenities. It was newly renovated and the bed-(free of bugs!)-was extremely comfortable with plenty of fluffy pillows to make you feel as if you were living in luxury. Continental breakfast was provided in a clean environment and was quite adequate with the usual muffins, cereals, toast, pastries and waffles. The staff were very friendly and clearly interested in making the guests' experience as pleasant as possible. The neighbourhood was architecturally scruffy in daylight, but at night the bars and restaurants came alive with hundreds of tewnty-somethings enjoying the amenities. I never felt uncomfortable walking around the nearby streets. Access via subway is a breeze with the nearest station about three minutes away. Getting uptown takes about 20 minutes. I used the trains from JFK and to La Guardia and it was easy and cheap, although it took an hour or so. Great for a single business visitor and also for a couple looking to spend time touring rather than hanging about the hotel room, or in town for a special event. One small adverse comment-they offer no secure valuables storage! I would return and recommend this hotel to others.

Nice accommodations for the money
The room was small, but it's New York, and that is all I needed. The bed and linens were very comfortable.

a dissaster
It was my worst experience I ever had with a hotel. The worst thing was that the first day of stay hotel got on fire and burnt down and I didnt get any help from the hotel employees (not talking that fire alarm wasnt existent). I even cant imagine what would be if fire would get at 2am when everybody was asleep.

Cramped
I realize that a one bed suite isn't going to be huge, but it was tiny. It was bland and the bathroom was cramped as well. The door would not open all the way without slamming into the toilet. The swimming pool was small as well and was not heated. I will not stay there again and will not recommend it to anyone, friend or foe.
