Good location, terrible service
Club Quarters Midtown was in a great location, about 2 blocks from Times Square. It is a smaller hotel, so there was not as many staff members to help when we arrived. We were in need of some fresh towels, we placed the call at 9 in the morning and the towels arrived at 5 in the afternoon. I understand as a smaller hotel there will be some things that will be lacking as they do not have the staff handy. Also, we both called and went down to the front desk to ask a few questions about the city and how to use the subway, the day time receptionist was rude at times, and did not want to help us. It was not that she was busy, she just did not want to be bothered. All in all the hotel had a great location, and was clean.

A little shady
They gave me a room with a broken ac, I had to move to a new room in the middle of the night. I forget a shirt in the old room & went back to retrieve it early morning prior to housekeeping cleaning the room & the shirt was not there, I did get the shirt back but I thought that was strange. They held money on my credit card without telling me at check in. They did not seem to care if I was inconvenienced and I could only get a 30 minute late check out without being charged. The staff was not friendly & the integrity is questionable. I will not stay there again regardless of any lower rate being offered and I certainly would not consider paying a membership fee.

Club Quarters Stay in NYC
I expected more and got less. The queen room I had was very small. I can't imagine what the single room looked like.

very small room at a medium size price
had a confirmed late check in but upon arrival the kiosk told me no rooms available. Desk help was helpful in that they took my bags and assured me a room was reserved and would be ready when I returned from dinner. upon return my bags were dumped on the floor and the hang up bag was on the bottom. room was ready.

good location but rated C
Located near all that that midtown Manhattan has to offer. Plenty of different types of restaurants to choose from. Small lobby, convenient plane boarding pass kiosk in lobby, need room key to access elevator for security.free internet in room, didn't have a good view. Handle of toilet hard to manage, doors in hallway are confusing and slams and cause a vibration in room and there was trash left under the bed from previous visitor and never removed.

One particular visit
I was in NYC for a mini reunion with my HS class of 1966 -- The hotel was in the exact right location. I'm used to smaller hotels so wasn't bothered by the slow elevator service -- BUT, when my A/C went on the blink and the staff was completely unable to either assist or deal with the issue, I did lose patience and it took going thru three different people to get the problem resolved (and as a former New Yorker, I do have experience in problem solving). I'm in New York annually and tho I always want to be exactly where the Midtown Suites are located, I wouldn't return there.

Great location, truly lacking in service
Will never go back. MOST of the problems were eventually addressed by the staff - not necessarily quickly or willingly. I asked many questions up-front (before booking and at the time of check-in) to ensure that all details and amenities were correct - no mis-understandings. Unfortunately, almost everything I was told and almost every assurance that was made was incorrect. For instance - 'Free Bottled Water' - available in the basement - walk downstairs. They were always out. The first time, a staff member bought me a bottle from a vending machine for $2 - I never complained again. This was within minutes of check-in and set the tone for the entire stay.
