Ideal starting point for cultural and shopping visit in NYC
The location is ideal and the starting-price room is efficient and clean, although compact (that means small). The lobby tends to be busy and the two elevators are slow: slight inconveniences for the quality and price of the NYC accommodation.

Overall good stay for the price, would use again
First the Hotel's name isn't opposite RC but Club Quarters, Manhattan Center. It is just across from RC. There is really no lobby to speak of besides a small podium. The elevators are ok but with a goofy (for security) room key swipe to make them go up. The hotel isn't large but comfortable. I really didn't have issues with noise for being in the city. St Patrick's Cathedral is on the corner and Radio CIty is across the street. Times Square and Cnetral Park are both about a 10-15 minute walk so things are easily in reach. The area is nice and even walking back at 2:30am seemed very secure. The room was on the smallish size but it's Manhattan so that's expected. It was well decorated and clean so it was good in my book. It was a bunch cheaper than anywhere else which made it even better. There is free water in the hall but it didn't taste all that great. And the only really issue was a forgotten toothbrush and I asked the desk clerk and they didn't have any, what hotel doesn't have spare toothbrushes nowadays? I would still use them again though. It's no frills but still nice and comfortable.

Great Weekend Getaway!!
I wasn't sure what to expect as I have had unpleasant surprises before...but it was great! Very clean, the staff was helpful, and the hotel was overall a nice one. The location was perfect! We were within walking distance from so many things - Radio City, Museum of Modern Art, Theatre District, we even walked to the Empire State Building and Madison Square Garden! The room wasn't spacious by any means, but that was what I expected from New York...most establishments (hotels, restaurants) seem to be on the smaller side. Who sits in their room long enough to care anyway?! We loved it. FYI, the breakfast buffet is 20.00 per person. Unless you plan on eating a big breakfast I wouldn't waste my money. There is a cafe called Europa Cafe down the street that serves more affordable options that are the same quality.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
If you can, get a "Stage Door" tour of Radio City Music Hall. It is literally across the street. Very affordable...I think only 15.00 per person. It was one of the coolest things we did!

Okay Getaway
Overall, this hotel met our needs well. Its a nice enough place to stay in the city for the holidays. It is literally steps from the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. Our complaint was with the breakfast buffet at the hotel's in-house restaurant. All of the food options in the buffet were nearly empty and the staff was slow to respond to the demand for more food. This is the kind of service I would expect from a complimentary breakfast, not one that turned out to be the most expensive meal of our trip. Overall, this hotel is great for a budget, but do not rely on its in house food services.

Good Stay
I was only in town for one night, so I didn't get to do much, but the room was a great value for the price. The location was fantastic, and the room was very clean. When I got there, no key cards were able to be made, but the staff was able to remember me for when I came back to get it. If I need a hotel in NYC again, I would definitely use that one again.

The Club Quarters met our needs.
Toured time square. Went to a Broadway play, but left at intermission. The weather was just a bit wet, but that could not be helped.
