Chelsea Central Apartments

It is more like rent a room. Perfect location is the only advantage.

This is exactly as described, an extended stay apartment. It is a perfect location, room was very clean, there was a stocked kitchen with all utensils and a bathroom with even soaps. I had very low expectations due to the price but it was clean, had high speed cable, and flat screen TV. I used to live in NY for 8 years and if you want to feel like a NY'r this is the place to stay. My one negative about the place is checkin is weird. This is basically a situation were the owners have rented several apartments in this building and are using them like a hotel, so doormen don't really know what to do, or have a up to date list. (they took a while to find my name). Also there should be a welcome letter in the room. Other than that, I would stay there again. E

We started to check in, but refused checking in due to the large amount of MOLD in our bath room. The staff did not seem to want to show us another room and on the telephone the agent told me he talked to the building manager and the mold was the color of the grout in the bathroom. I told them it was the dry wall above the tile. [...] We left and stayed a block away at the Hampton Inn, it was great.

I found the entire experience to be disorganized and nerve racking. There was a clear lack of management and order. When given the number to speak with off site management, I was made to feel that the misunderstanding and miscommunication was my fault. The apartment itself was clean, however, wash cloths were not provided, nor remote control for the television. No clear instrustions on how to check out, questions for management, or who to contact in case of emergency were provided either. Check out was 11:30, which wasn't made clear. Had I known that this was this tuype of operation, I would hav e been better prepared mentally. I f you like being completely disrespected and made to feel like an idiot, I suggest staying here. However, if you still believe in good old fashioned customer service and checks and balances, then flee for your life!!!!

well when we got to the hotel.... the address was wrong[...] We have to walk seven more block before we get there. When we got to the "hotel" it look horrible plus we have to wait a hour till the figure out the room code.. They gave us an upgrade for an apartment of three room which was beautiful but it didn't have heat system at all. We had three small room heater that did not help at all and when we put all of the together they electricity wouldn't work.. They say that they were over book and have to send me to another location which it was upsetting and not fair since i have that reservation for a week and 1/2 plus they dont even tell you about this... they say that they will give me a 10% refund.. Yeah i am still waiting for it. So fella please choose your hotel carefully.

Nothing worked and restroom was horrible.

When we got to the first address we were given, there was a note saying they couldn't honor our reservation, so they upgraded us from a 1 br to a 3 br, and a $20 for taxi. Upgrade was nice, but the place was a little dirty. Only 1 washcloth. First 2 nights were very quiet, 3rd night very, very, noisy. Last night there we went to dinner and left my daughter's wallet in the apartment. The next morning $100 was missing. NOT VERY HAPPY, AT ALL!!!
