Situated in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, the 19th century building has been carefully brought back to life with exceptional attention to detail. It is clear that time has been invested in retaining all of the original features – look out for the elegant wood and granite decor, and enjoy a great level of service from the well trained staff on call 24 hours a day. The Blue Moon Hotel also offers a gym and Jacuzzi area.

Rooms

Find traditional luxury and comfort in the rooms at the Blue Moon Hotel, with accommodations offering a spectacular view of New York City. Each room provides a generous amount of floor space as well as high ceilings and period furniture. All rooms are equipped with a television, a radio alarm clock, ironing facilities, an iPod docking station, a phone with voice mail, a minibar and free Wi-Fi Internet access. Additionally, each suite ensures maximum comfort by offering air conditioning with full temperature control. Blue Moon Hotel guest rooms do not skimp on luxury in any way, and offer guests 300-thread-count bed linens, comfort pillows and Sealy Palatial Crest Pillowtop mattresses. Great stay

Would recommend Tue, Dec 8, 2015
This hotel is excellent value for money, great location, reasonable price. The wifi is a bit patchy and the breakfast is only continental but the rooms are clean, a decent size and have good views of the Williamsburg bridge. The staff, Jay in particular are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Girls Trip in the City

Would recommend Wed, Sep 30, 2015
We stayed in the Fannie Brice room in the Blue Moon hotel. It was an excellent room for a group of 6 with 1 king bed and 4 singles. Front desk staff presents as disinterested most times and breakfast was nothing to write home about but the hotel is clean and in a great location. We will stay there again.

Very helpful and nice!

Would recommend Tue, May 19, 2015
Was a lovely hotel. The staff were wonderful. Very helpful and accommodating. They helped us with restaurant recommendations, directions, and were very pleasant and nice. The hotel was located just two blocks from the subway and located in a very nice area with lots of food options.

Great NYC Find

Would recommend Thu, Apr 9, 2015
The staff of 2 at the hotel was awesome. Very attentive and caring. Less populated location but you feel very secure there given their procedure with the room key access. The rooms are old fashion but very clean and comfortable enough. Very good value for the cost.

Priced right, nice staff

Would recommend Thu, Dec 4, 2014
This is not a luxury hotel with a wide list of amenities. It is an affordable small hotel (an old building that was rehabbed into a hotel) on the Lower east Side near SoHo, which is where we wanted to stay. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Let me repeat that. They were extremely nice. Also, they have a parking deal a few blocks from hotel that is very reasonable for NYC.

Gem in Lower East Side

Would recommend Sat, Jun 28, 2014
Excellent stay at the Blue Moon Hotel! From the gracious hospitality and helpfulness of the wonderful staff to the warm bed-and-breakfast like atmosphere, this accommodation is a real find! In particular, for visitors seeking to explore the fascinating neighborhoods in the Lower East Side as well as the historic sites of downtown Manhattan and Battery Park, this is an ideal location from which to embark. The thoughtful extra touches of a NY-style breakfast to a glass of wine in the afternoon further enhance the overall delightful guest experience. Looking forward to returning to Blue Moon!!

Don't miss taking in guided tours at the Tenement Museum, which is located across the street from the hotel.

Appealingly Funky

Would recommend Wed, Oct 23, 2013
Cozy hotel in Chinatown/LowerEast Side. Allowing for New York's absurd prices, it can be a pretty good value. Our only real complaint was the lack of lighting in the room: there was one dim lamp and glaring overhead spots -- two people couldn't read in bed. Fix that and you've got something going on!

Blue Moon hotel, terrible

Would not recommend Thu, Sep 12, 2013
Virtually nothing worked in my room, TV, A?C, Fridge, hot water, all needed service. The room was filthy, bathroom disgusting. One person works there and knows nothing. This is a dive and should not be on your list ever.

Charming hotel in a great location in lower Manhattan

Would recommend Tue, Aug 20, 2013
Clean and comfy, pleasant staff, nice continental breakfast. Very convenient to the Tenement Museum across the street. Reasonable parking in a garage a short distance away. Within walking distance of Little Italy and parts of Chinatown. Several restaurants nearby. Enjoyed our stay, would go back again when visiting lower Manhattan..
