Amenity-heavy hotel in Times Square with a hip, modern vibe
The Best Western President Hotel at Times Square looks traditional on the outside, but the interior spaces have a youthful, modern look. A renovation gave rooms and public spaces a clean look. beware renovations
walking into hotel, we were greated by wires and lots of renovations. The first room we went into had a very strong musty smell from a leaky ac. We were moved immediately by a very helpful staff. The second room was clean but sparsly decorated. For the money it was just OK.

The hotel is being renovated at
The hotel is being renovated at the moment, which is probably why we got such a good rate. The room was very nicely done, yet the bathroom still could use a little work - sink kept clogging up, towel rack was rather shabby. Room service was questionable - beds not made, but towels replaced. If you have a question at the front desk or want to check out reserve some time - policy seems to be to have only one person there during check out time, so there are long lines. Still, location is unbeatable, and at the rate we got I'm prepared to put up with a lot.

Quick Stop in NYC
Great Location
Hotel lobby was being renovated during my stay, so the staff was slightly preoccupied, but cannot blame them for that. The rooms are great. Smaller than average, but very clean and comfortable. You can't ask for a better location, right off Times Square. Considering the quality of the room and the location I thought the price was an absolute bargain.

My hotel stay
THE LOCATION WAS AMAZING AND THE FRONT DESK STAFF AT FIRST WAS SO-SO BUT WARMED UP ONCE THEY GOT TO KNOW YOU....FOR THE MOST PART EVERYTHING WAS GOOD THE ONLY THING WAS THAT THE LOBBY AND FRONT OF HOTEL IS UNDER MAJOR CONSTRUCTION....NOTHING LIKE THE PICS POSTED OF THE FRONT DESK AND LOBBY........

Great location but ...
The Location of this hotel is really great....just few yards away from Times Square. The rooms have been newly renovated but the toilets really need to be renovated and maintained.In the toilet: 1)Taps came off 2) Hot water supply was not continuous And when I went , (i.e 7th to 9th Aug 2009)..the hotel was going through a major renovation process...so the reception was really dusty with worker working.But the location was just great!!! just few minutes away from Times square, restaurant row...subway....broadway. so its just the location that makes up for these shortcomings...otherwise the hotel staff are great and they are very helpful. Overall great place with regards to location but my guess is that once the renovation process is over---it would be a better place.

Good Location, But not as advertised.
Went to NYC to see a Broadway show. Booked a "Deluxe" room on Orbitz which should have had a queen bed (I paid more for the deluxe room). When I got there they gave me a room with a double bed and they claimed they didn't have anything else. The Hotel was under construction and very noisy. They supplied only two towels, no washcloths or hand towels. They supplied only two pillows and again could not supply more. The linen carts were left blocking the hall overnight. On the bright side, the location was perfect, one block from Times Square.

NEW YORK TRIP
1.WENT TO A YANKEE / RED SOX GAME, DINNER IN LITTLE ITALY 2. THE ROOM WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE A PULL OUT COUCH BED THE HOTEL STAFF AND ORBITS STAFF SAID I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR IT I KNOW IT WAS A $19 UPDATE 3. 1ST TIME IT WAS NOT WHAT I REALLY EXPECTED AND WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THE ORBIT STAFF DID NOTHING 4. WAS NOT TOLD THE HOTEL WAS UNDER CONSTRUCTION TILL I WALKED IN THE FRONT DOOR LOK LIKE A WAR ZONE

The location of the hotel is very near Times Square. Easy access to different stores, subway, restaurants and shopping. The front building is under construction so you would not notice the hotel sign. The standard rooms were quite small, but it's New York. We decided to get an extra room as we have teen children with us. Overall, place is okay, the hotel staff were very helpful. I will surely recommend this place to our friends.

dirty, old, rooms correct and reformet.
when we arrive, my wife had been cried. Was our married travel. The recepcion was dirty and in reformation. The american staff has been very, very bad (not professional and not sweet with de customers). The spanish and India staff had been perfect, very good and help and attent us always. The unic possitive were the localitacion. For go with family is not good hotel. The rooms were smalls, and with a lot of exterior noise. Did'nt hads especial windows. Tne rooms were cleaned normal. In resum: a good localitation. Non romantic. Not very clean. In general, with excepcion like José and a latin women and indian man, bad staff. I am sorry. Not recomendended. Has to be better.
