Overall A Nice Hotel
I've been to NYC several times and, for the money, you're not going to find a nicer hotel. Only thing working against this place is it's location. Unless you're cabbing it everywhere, be prepared for at least a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest subway station.

Good value & good staff
The Bentley proved to be an excellent spot to venture into the New York City scene. We had a spacious corner small suite that was clean and relative spacious. Staff was always helpful. We'd recommend the Bentley.

What a difference
We have stayed at the Bentley many times but this time we have several complaints. 1. The room maid ( or someone ) dropped the trash down the toilet which blocked it --we had to go down to ask reception for help. Their response was we can move you to another room tomorrow -- this was 10ish at night. 2, The card keys didn't work on at least two occasions ( we didn't know until we tried them and again had to return to reception for new ones ( we were on the 14th floor). They suggested we get the keys checked at reception every time before we use the elevator. 3. The taps dripped but were not repaired until day 4- we reported the dripping taps on three consecutive days. 4. The view of the river was masked by another part of the building. (eoom 1401)

comfortable stay
The suite that I had was very nice with a great view of the city. The heat was relatively low on the chilly night I stayed there but the front desk sent up a portable heater to make my stay comfortable and relaxing

Friday Night at the Bentley
From the moment I entered the Bentley I was greeted by courteous and professional staff. The hotel room was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. For a queen room, it was the most spacious that I've experienced in the city. The bathroom was well appointed with fluffy towels as well. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking to spend some time in Manhattan.

A place to spend the night
For a hotel that is not so close to anything enjoyable in NY the price was a bit high, for the same price or a little more I could have stayed at the Franklin that is within walking distance to shopping, central park, etc. Had a hard time getting ice in the room, had to walk 2 1/2 blocks in the mornings to get an espresso, 1 block up a steep road to get a hot breakfast for $6.00 while the the hotel sells a cold breakfast for 12.99 and I paid 3.50 for a small can of coke at the lounge by the front desk while a small store a couple of blocks away sells the same can for .99 cents,,,, and WI-FI? Forget about it, you have to pay for that too. The hotels appearance , is out dated, carpets worn and the elevator is extremely slow, thank goodness I wasn't in a rush to get anywhere. Like my title says, it's just a place to spend the night.
