You could die here. Disaster ahead.

I had a serious fall on their wet painted entry floor. Their are no doormen or sufficient staff to offer assistance or monitor and control entry. Absolutely nothing. Keep in mind, their building has 22-floors and is situated between a 24-hour major manhattan gas station and an emergency animal hospital . Despite this, still no one at front door. The front desk staff all did not know what to do and appear to be completely untrained on how to offer assistance. They were clueless. Even the minimum such as a request for a bit of ice will be denied when the injury is serious and swelling. Call your own medic if you need help. Even their restaurant denies having ice or basic ingredients such as skimmilk for tea, etc. Reporting everything afterwards t the manager is also a shocking outcome: the manager argues rather than listens. Here, "arguing" means interrupting in a belligerent manner. He then will tell you it's so he can "understand" what you already told him twice. There are a few other problems that worry me deeply that I cannot detail here. Bottomline: I consider this place a covering-up got something possibly much more dangerous and that for my experience alone, I apparently only encountered the basic clues of it.

Clean, modern, comfortable.

Pros: room very clean with high quality sheets and coverlets. Flat screen tv. Quiet location. 21st floor (bar/restaurant) with fabulous nighttime views of city. Cons: no real services nearby. Trek to subway, restaurants.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Tip: Noguchi Studio/Museum (Queens) and The Cloisters (The Metropolitan Museum's satellite located at 1000 Fifth Avenue at 82nd Street New York, New York 10028-0198; tel. 212-535-7710 is dedicated to medieval European art) both worth the effort. Another little-known and interesting museum within the city is the Rubins Museum, dedicated to art of the Himalayas, located at 150 West 17th Street, New York, NY 10011; tel. 212.620.5000.

Great deal!

I would definitely stay at the Bentley Hotel again. The hotel is fashionable and the staff is attentive. Plus, the price is very reasonable for Manhattan. The window stretched from wall-to-wall with a great view of the Queensboro Bridge. The only complaint I have is that there was a small gap between the window and the wall separating the next room, which allowed TV noise to come through. There's a nice breakfast diner just two blocks away and easy access to the subway. Great deal!

Good price for the location

Pros: Clean and nice, friendly staff. Cons: -The continental breakfast is not complimentary, they charge $11.95 and it's only bagels, cereal, and orange juice. You would be much better off just going across the street to eat at one of the many diners for the same price and getting an entire plate of hot food. -The wi-fi is a terrible nightmare. You constantly get bumped off, approximately every 2-3 minutes. -The walls are extremely thin. You can hear everything in the rooms around you and in the hallways. Plus everyone else can hear you. This isn't that bad of a thing though, since you should be out looking at the city anyways instead of sitting in a hotel room!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Brunch at Ritz Diner is a great alternative to the "continental breakfast." It was $12.95 for everything on the brunch menu. I ordered, all included in the price, pancakes, sausage, bacon, ham and eggs. It also came with a fruit cup, glass of orange juice and cup of coffee. This is located 1 block from Bentley Hotel at 62nd and 1st

Great hotel; great location

The Bentley Hotel was conveniently located only ten blocks from the Hospital for Special Surgery, where my husband was scheduled for surgery. I walked back and forth safely each day from HSS to be with him. Everything was within a few blocks -- coffee shop, deli, pharmacy. Parking was available on location so I didn't have to travel far with my bags when checking in. All staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful (even the men in the parking garage). Room was on 12th floor -- clean and very comfortable; not noisy. It was the perfect arrangement for me during a stressful time. Thank you.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

One of the nearby access points to the East River Walk is on 63rd Street as well as 71st Street. I would walk along the river on my way to the HSS in the mornings. It was lovely.

Unbeatable location for the price

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Bently Hotel for his Birthday/Valentine's Day. The location was great. Located near great food, shopping, and attractions. The room was very clean and the service was great. Hotel Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room were small and did not have hot water. We also could heard people staying in the other rooms surrounding ours.

Really Nice Hotel

The hotel was very nice. It was right off RFK drive and was in a nice section of NY. The rooms were clean and neat and had great views of the city. No complaints for a quick weekend stay. Staff was great, and low cost parking. Outside there were always cabs waiting and open. Lobby was nice and hotel bar was great. Close walking to resturants and bars. Will stay here again.

good choice

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was great for our purpose and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. The only annoyance was that the acoustics were bad and we heard conversations from neighboring rooms, and our room faced the street so that was a bit noisy too.Overall though good choice for a hotel.
