Small room but clean
Gave me room with 2 beds instead of Queen. Had to re pack and move next day. Bar and restaurant was closed for renovations. We should be told that before booking. Second time this has happened to me through orbitz booking.

Great location, staff were fine. peeved that for a 4 star hotel, it didn't have any toothpaste.

Very good hotel
We stayed at the Bentley Hotel for 5 nights in total and really enjoyed it. The room was a very good size and kept extremely clean, the shower was not the best but not too important. Staff were very nice and extremely helpful. However, I was extremely surprised that the hotel did not provide free wireless ($15 day!), we took trip to Washington on the Boltbus (Highly recommended and extremely cheap!) and even that had free wireless! Location wise its not too bad, the hotel is located on the east side right near Roosevelt Island. The nearest metro is approx 8 - 10 mins walk we but did not mind that. We felt very safe walking around the area at night and the people were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here, its not too expensive compared to other hotels in NY (If you can get a good deal) and was very clean and tidy.

Go to Century 21 located near Wall Street. Its a lot like TK Maxx but on a huge scale. You'll find some absolute bargains (especially with the pound doing pretty well at the mo) but be prepared to take your time looking around.

The biggest problem with this
The biggest problem with this hotel is the size of the bedrooms, and particularly the lack of cupboard space. We were staying in the States for 2½ weeks and had 2 large bags with us - how were we supposed to hang even one eighth of our clothes in such a tiny space? We stayed here twice - once at the beginning of our holiday and again at the end - we had been promised an upgrade on our return but in fact were given exactly the same bedroom as before. Eventually we were told we were being moved to a junior suite which was in fact the disabled bedroom and bathroom (the carpet was filthy but they did immediately put it down for a steam clean). The staff however were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast there once and I would rate it as good. I think we would stay there again, more for the fact that it was in very close proximity to our son's apartment more than anything else - they just need to get their bedrooms and cupboard space sorted out.

Just Ok...
Work related stay. The hotel caters to customers whom reserved there stay directly thru the hotel. Heating and Ac units in rooms are very outdated and below average.

Clean and convenient!!
This was our second time at The Bentley. We enjoyed the clean rooms and nicely appointed bathrooms. Linens and comforters are very snazzy. Very convenient to Weil-Cornell Medical Center. The rooftop bar offers a wonderful view at night.
