Sophisticated Zen
Check-in set the tone for our weekend. We were offered a complimentary glass of wine and smoothly checked in by a "host". The room and bathroom were modern, sophisticated and had a Zen quality. With the exception of liquor all mini-bar items were complimentary. Especially enjoyed the dark chocolate bar. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The only negative was that due to the dim lighting it was difficult to see to apply make-up. We had an outstanding dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed the service. The hotel "hosts" went out of their way to meet all our needs. Would definitely stay there again.

Getaway to see the State
From Seattle
We stayed on the 16th Floor. The Hotel was beautiful, room was good/large for New York standards, overall average-reason for my 3 star review- nothing blew me away as amazing. Past reviews metioned bad lighting, but lighting was very sufficient. Only complaints we had were minor, should have extra towels in the room, the amount of towels were sufficient for one person only, in my opinion. Also, the front desk staff were a bit cheesy with their dress, ipad check in, etc- allittle too over the top, again in my opinion. Word of advice to all future travelers, we had a car because we wanted to travel outside of the financial district. We were originally told the hotel had parking, I even called them to confirm. Once we arrived to the hotel, we come to find out that parking is operated by a third party, and if you are familiar with New York, anything third party is a nightmare- nothing but trouble with parking and having the attendants get our car when we needed it without a thousand excuses. Only other complaint we had was the promised "breakfast" basically it was a continential breakfast on the go. Some travel sites even charged extra to have the "breakfast" included. If your chosen room does not ccome with it already in the price, do not even bother with the upgrade, plenty of great breakfast places within a block or two, and you have great street vendors also.

Short walk from hotel
Cosi is a great place to grab a quick and filling breakfast. Dont even waste your time with any Starbucks from New York, coffee/food/service worst I have ever seen- but we have high standards being from Seattle in the coffee business- LOL

When can I come back?
I am a former New Yorker who just wanted to stay in a hotel for a change instead of crashing at a relatives. LOVED this place. New, clean, near everything, the employees went above an beyond, etc. On top of that tho, the design of the place was so modern, so sleek, so chic that I felt like I had paid 5x as much.... I honestly didn't want to leave the room. One FYI - I asked for a non smoking room and got it, but I was next to smoking room. But it was as if the person was in the room with me, it was so bad. Had I known...I would most definitely go back but I would absolutely request to be put far away from a smoking room.

Great Secret Hotel
Cool hip hotel with a casual and spacious lobby. Retains a bit of modern office lobby as reception is just a table with laptop toting staff members. Free snacks and refreshments in the lobby extends to the free mini-bar. Staff was friendly and helpful for directions and promptly brought us an extra pair of slipper for the room. Huge loft-like rooms that are much bigger than they appear in the photographs. Great shower and tub with an interesting window into the main room. As others have mentioned it's a little afield of the tourists spots, but definitely convenient to Chinatown, Wall Street, Battery Park, and the WTC site.

Awesome hotel
I have stayed at this hotel once before and it is the bomb!! The location is secret and quiet. Unlike the noisy time square hotels, you can actually get a good night sleep here. The complementry snacks in the rooms are an extra plus, something that no hotel has that ive seen. Also for all the morning brew lovers, in the morning you can enjoy coffee any style on the house in the lobby's pantry area. I would definitely stay here again :-)

Love this place!!
We loved this place!! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very large for a NY hotel as was the bathroom (the walk-in shower was awesome!). The room was very stylish and amazingly clean, with a very comfy bed. Bath products were C.O. Bigelow and smelled wonderful, and the alarm clock was also an ipod dock, which was handy since neither of us had brought our chargers. It was a 5 minute walk to the Fulton seaport area, 10 minutes to ground zero and 5-10 to the subway, depending on where you wanted to go. We had no problems getting around the city, despite being a little far from most of the things we wanted to see and do. It was definitely worth it to have such an amazing hotel at a reasonable (for NY, anyway) price. I would definitely recommend this place!!

Time-saving tip:
Not Applicable
The Empire State Building is open late (until 2am, although last elevator goes up at 1:15am) which is nice, so you can still fit it into a short weekend after a full day and dinner. :)

Fantastic hotel!
Wonderful. Everyone was super nice and I appreciated the snacks they have available. I will say breakfast is a little meager, but the spaciousness of the room and customer service helps me overlook this. My one criticism is that the lights in the bathroom were too dim to tell if your make up was quite right or how you really look. A couple more lights in the bathroom would be great. Otherwise, I want to stay at nothing but Andez hotels from now on.

From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, the service and attention to detail at this hotel was amazing. The room was clean and well stocked, quiet and the tempurature was easily controlled. The food in the hotel restaurant was superior and the staff was warm and inviting. They promptly delivered extra towels and water upon request. The facilities were very nice, contemporary feel.
