NOTHING like it seems.

Want to waist your money? Then stay here. There is only one thing that stands out from this hotel and it is the fact that the rooms look NOTHING like the pictures on the internet. They are literally 9x10' cells. The picture shows cute lamps and side tables, but there are none. just cheesy formica built circa 1975. The TV is a old box sitting on a roller cart and the view through the tiny window was a brick wall. I feel like I got taken for $300 staying at this Dump. [...]

great location, good sleep

Enjoyed the stay. Staff are knowledgeable, helpful. Room is basic, but comfortable. Close to everything in mid-town. Should offer free wi-fi, thus downgraded to two stars.

central location, but not-so-comfortable stay

The location of this hotel is the main reason I choose this hotel. It is close to the Time Square, just a 3 minute walk away. However, though it purports to be a 3-star hotel, it disappointed me a lot because the room space was so cramped and there was hardly any space to place my luggage. Yes, the room is extremely small. And the bed size was extremely small too. I don't know how this hotel was qualified as a 3-star hotel. But one positive thing about this hotel is its location. I love its location. It is convenient for me to reach any attraction of New York City within a short time.

Nice people, Bad hotel

Great location, nice people/staff, good price but hotel is old and dirty. Never got hot water on demand. Thermostat is either too hot or too cold.

Would not stay here again.

The hotel is located right next to Times Square, but it has very small rooms, and would never stay there again. Ever. We laughed about how bad the room was because we were only sleeping there one night. Find another!

Great location but...

The location of the hotel was amazing; near Times Square, great restaurants, broadway, shopping, etc. The staff was friendly too. The room was tiny which was OK but it was very worn out! There were cracked tiles in the bathroom floor and shower and even a gaping hole! The pipes started loudly clanging while showering to the point that you had to repeatedly turn down the hot water. The furniture was quite worn out too. The radiator looked like it hadn't been painted since the '50s. I would ask if there are any updated rooms!

Not impressive, but not bad

The location of this hotel was pretty amazing. Near plenty of subway stations, blocks from Times Square, and near several broadway theaters. However, given the price, the room quality was less than impressive. It was NY and we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, but when we were there, it was minimal quality. The beds weren't comfortable, so the little sleep we got wasn't great. The shower didn't drain properly even after asking for assistance, so you were standing in water, and maid service didn't come until late in the afternoon (around 5pm). The staff at the front desk were friendly when necessary, but when asked for assistance the bellman and front desk staff were less than pleased and very sarcastic (in a bad way). Considering the location and the fact that we were in NY the room quality didn't factor in too much; however, for what we paid for and the fact that we were in NY we expected much more.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Venture to restuarants away from the tourists. The closer to the "hot spots" (i.e. times square), the more expensive the food, the trendier the spots, the longer the wait, the worse the wait staff, etc. Go where the locals go, not the tourists. It's more like NY that way. Ask the locals what they like best and you'll get a more enjoyable experience.
