Great Location, Super Convenient

The hotel location is super good, on a safe, quite street yet 5 minutes walk to the Time Square and all different stores and restaurants. The hotel people are nice; the bed is comfortable but the room is too small. This is a place good for single or couple travel, but not to a big family.

A Little "Tired," But Great Location

It's very close to Time Square, and across the street from the Gershwin Theater, so it's a great location. The rooms are very small, even by European standards, and there were almost no amenities. It's also very close to several subway entrances. We were very pleased with the location. There is a nice bar and restaurant attached to the site, but not operated by the hotel.

Mother Daughter Weekend in New York

Everything was fine, just not memorable. The room had a funny smell that did not go away and it was as small as a closet which was ok as we spent the least amount of time there, but a little bigger space would have been nice. If I had gone with my husband the room would have been far too small. The location however was awesome, walking distance to everything. Staff were great too.

maybe u can't gain everything

i got good deal with this hotel, but when i enter the room...there is a heater, the window isn't far from the street, so you van hear clearly what happen outside, one of the light shade is broken...wonder why it looks bad...i would say the good things of this hotel is you get a private bathroom and good location.

Great Location, Clean, Small Rooms, Good for $, No Frills

Everything in Manhattan is expensive. This hotel is relatively inexpensive compared to the others. It has a wonderful location...just a few blocks walk to Times Square. It's withing a 30 second walk of the 1 train and the C, E trains. Rooms are small (picture a cruise ship cabin), but relatively clean. Bathrooms are surprisingly sizable, considering the room size. There really is no staff other than a person or two working the front desk. There are coke machines on each floor and an ice machine on the 6th. There are two drugstores each within a minute's walking distance for drinks and munchies. Location is on 50th St between 8th Ave and Broadway. WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN FOR RIGHT PRICE!

Dining tip: Not Applicable

Don't eat or shop anywhere near Times Square and you will save yourself a lot of money. The Times Square/Midtown area is the biggest tourist trap on earth. Instead, try Greenwich Village off the A,C,E at 4th St or Little Italy or Chinatown off Canal St on the A,C,E,N,Q,R,W trains.

For a low price the hotel was just what I needed. Not to big & comfy but who cares. It was right around the corner from Times Square & down the street from Central Park.
