great stay
a brilliant location, modern hotel. good service , solved the slight issues we had fast and really effectively... the breakfast isn't good though, plastic plates, but you are in NYC so i'd recommend heading out anyway. Amazing location... nothing was lower than 3* (maybe the breakfast) but the room - cool, location - amazing, vibe - brilliant , modern - yes, staff - really helpful

Perfect for the occasion
I really enjoyed my stay with my bf. It was perfect for us and it was a pretty good price for the location. Although it would have been better that if when we looked out of our window it wasn't construction. However, we just booked the hotel to stay because we wanted to enjoy the holiday feel in the city. I really liked the hotel a lot. It was just right for us.

Great Times Square Location
This is a great affordable place to stay very close to Times Square and the theater district. The rooms were super clean and felt new. My favorite part was the fantastic shower. Stay here if you want to be close to the action in NY but don't want to pay an arm and a leg to do so.

Ameritania
The hotel was beautiful and in a great location, right by the studio for David Letterman. really close to a lot of bars, restaurants and the midtown sights to see. also very easy to get to from the subway. only complaints: shower was weird, it didnt close so the entire bathroom got wet when we showered. And the cleaning staff came in at 8:30 am while my boyfriend and I were still in bed. I just thought that was a little early, and annoying. other than that this was a great hotel and good price. I would stay there again

Mother/Daughter Getaway
We loved the Ameritania Hotel! It is small and quaint - fun decor. Our room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us. Easy walk to all the Broadway shows and Time Square. David Letterman is right around the corner. Would definitely return to the Ameritania!

Perfect location for exploring New York. The staff were friendly and helpful,particularly the Concierge, Jeffrey. Our room was small but very warm and comfortable. We would have brought the mattress home with us if we could! Thoroughly recommended!

Lovely boutique hotel
Extremely friendly staff, clean and updated rooms. Funky Art Deco style. Great midtown location. Very pleased and would return. Would have liked coffee maker in room. Pleased that there was a fridge.

Upscale business traveler
Clean, good location
A bit pricey for this hotel, even in it's very good location. Room was very clean, but a bit sterile feeling with ultramodern design. AC & heat controls good. Blackout curtains worked really well. Our sound machine drowned out most construction noise just across street. Bathroom sink has slanted surfaces which made things slide off. A couple of hooks on the wall or bathroom door for clothes/pjs would be nice. Closet had a shelf in the bottom which made hanging long coats and dresses impossible. Corner room was good-sized for NY small hotel, closet too small. Needs new linen service as last set of towels smelled scorched. Also had to ask for more than one washcloth on two different days. Walked everywhere, lots of people on the street early & late.

great location
My family stayed overnight. The location was perfect for the activities we planned. The room was tiny, but clean and modern. The staff was friendly and courteous. They left a cupcake in our room for my son's birthday, which made him very happy. Definitely recommend.
