Terrible
this place was terrible. smelly. the air conditioner was like a small plane taking off directly next to our bed, but if it was not on the room was so small that there was no air circulation and the street noise was super loud. There are residents in this building we were not bothered by them but it would have been good to know about them prior to the stay. The front desk man who seemed to be perpetually working was so unhelpful, unfriendly, and just down right rude. I really have nothing good to say about this place. Only stay here if you absolutely have no other options at all. This place sucks.

the worst hotel in the world
The bathroom was shared with other rooms and it was dirty ... the bed too small for two people ... dirty floor and the bed felt something itching in the body. immediately we left the hotel.

comfortable but small
me & my husbands stay was very exciting and comfortable. however, the only detail that we were not happy with, was sharing a bathroom with other hotel guests. imagine having to use the bathroom at 3am, having to walk out your room, with sanitizing wipes in hand, room key (to get back in) only to find that the bathroom is being utilized. other then that, hotel staff were very kind and pleasant and hotel was very clean.

worth the price
saved a lot of money by staying here, great location, can walk to everything and then can take the subways for everything downtown. room itself is like a hostel. shared restrooms, talking maybe 200 to 300 square foot room, a lot of noise from out side gets through the windows. You get what you paid for its a trade off for the location and price. This is somewhere we did not sleep until we really needed to sleep, come back shower change clothes maybe rest for a hour and go back too it.

Be prepared
If you want location and don't want to spend a lot of money, you may want to try this hotel, but be prepared. One bathroom for four rooms. We were promised at least a washbowl in the room, but could only find pipes. It was dirty around the edges and the blinds allowed a lot of the night lights in.

Hotel is on the outskirts of a lot of the action in Manhatten. Times Square is just three short blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.

Reasonably Priced
The hotel has shared bathrooms- the website really downplays that and I didn't notice prior to booking. Other than that, the overall experience was positive. the room (and bathroom) was clean, and the location was great. This is not a luxury hotel- just a place to crash at the end of a long day.

Great on a budget
I was not expecting much from this hotel, but it ended up being a very pleasant stay. The room was clean, and we were within walking distance of Times Square. It was a short subway ride away from Broadway and a lot of great restaurants. If you are on a college-student budget and in a relationship, this is great for you because it is inexpensive and close to the many great things that NYC has to offer.

SHARED BATH, but you can't beat the price
I actually live in Manhattan, but needed a room for one weeknight for an overnight guest. There's almost nothing in town available for under $170/night (unless you get down to the really skeevy Chinatown flophouses) -- except this place. The location is truly prime, so why's it so cheap? NO FRILLS. Shared bath -- funny it didn't say ANYTHING about that in the room description when I booked! No wifi (though there's a computer with internet in the lobby), no carpet, no curtains (just blinds), not even a dresser in the room (just a tiny night table). However, everything was sparkling clean, and the shared bath turned out to be a regular lockable individual bathroom (just across the hall from our room) with pristine tub and shower. The room did include a sink/washstand and mirror, surprisingly modern/luxe looking, suggesting fairly recent renovation. We overlooked 38th St., so the street noise was constant, but that was basically to be expected. Overall, would certainly return when next needed... but bring a bathrobe.

Shared Bathrooms
This hotel is ideal for budget travel. I didn't know there were shared bathrooms until two days before I got there with my wife. We talked to the front desk and they were extremely gracious and helpful about us not wanting to stay there, so we got refunded for two of the three nights (we slept there the first night). The noise within the inn is quiet, but because the building is old and has only one glass (instead of the modern two glass) windows, the outside noise did come inside. Other than those things, I thought this inn was great. If my children want to just take a short trip to NY, I would have them stay here because I know they wouldn't care about the shared bathrooms!
