weekend trip
The beds and linens were very clean and nice. That i give a A++. The light in kitchen did not work so we could not see in there. We could not adjust our temperature in the room. It was way too warm so we had to open a window every night. The bathroom was way too small...no counter space to get ready in the morning. This motel room was not worth the price we had to pay for this weekend, not even close. The lobby and staff were excellent though.

Good Location...
We enjoyed the hotel for the location away from the crowds of Times Square, but close enough to everything. Plan to do a lot of walking. The suites are a great size for our family of 5 and would go back to that hotel just for the size of the room. The bathrooms are extremely small, no dressers, beds comfortable, and it is an older hotel, however, our children were comfortable, so we were comfortable...

Great location!
My son and I enjoyed our stay at Affinia mainly for the great location. Penn Station is right across the street and from there we can take subways and trains to many locations. The staff was friendly. Another plus is complimentary internet wifi in the lobby. Many guests had complained about the price to get access in the rooms, so Affinia now provides free wifi in the lobby for all guests. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here for 3 night, hotel was nice and clean, the room pretty big and very helpful staffs, they upgrade me from Suite to Deluxe it was so nice, stay here before and will come back again soon.

weekend with my grandson
the hotel was really nice and our suite was reasonably priced by NYC standards and the size of a small apartment, including a small equipped kitchen. The location is perfect in midtown--close to trains, buses, and subway. It is a really nice hotel and was perfect for me and my 16-year-old grandson.

Short drive from hotel
If you are going with kids, Governor's Island is a real treat and great for families. Lots of nice paths and walkways with trees where you can walk or ride rented bikes, a children's museum. The trip itself is fun for kids. A subway ride on the #1 train to South Ferry and then a free ferry that takes about 10 minutes. Great family outing.

Great location, but that means noisy.
This hotel was a great location for us right opposite Penn Station. Staff fantastic. It's a noisy location though and has single glazed windows, right on 7th so light sleepers may need to take ear plugs.

3 good nights
The Affinia is in a great location, just accross the road from Penn Station and within walking distance of Times Square. I had booked a one bedroom suite and was very pleased with the accommodation. We had a nice bedroom with en suite bathroom, quite small but very clean. The living room area was much larger with a pull down sofa bed, tv, desk and comfortable chair the bonus was a small well equipped kitchen that suited our needs. We had to ask for bedding for the sofa as there was none in the room, this was quite quickly delivered. Not coming from a country where air conditioning is needed I found the air con very noisy and disturbing but better than the 104 heat! The other strange thing was the pattern of the hallway carpets it Looked like a it was completely worn on one side. If returning to New York I would be very happy to choose the Affinia Manhatten again.

Spring Break in the city
Affinia Manhattan Hotel perfectly situated in midtown...walking distance from all the best the city has to offer, and right across from Penn station! Never even needed a taxi. Hotel staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. The little kitchenette meant that sleeping late didn't have to interfere with our plans...kept cereal and milk on hand for those occasions. This will be our home away from home from now on.

Try EATALY across from the flat iron building at 5th and 23rd. It's the best of every Italian market, restaurant, pizzaria, bakery,and gelato place you have ever been to.
