Unique Option in the Big Apple

I was immediately impressed when I walked into the hotel since the lobby area is truly unique. There was a live band playing, a bar area, and a table with people surfing on their laptops. Yes, it was a bit loud but I was amazed by the mix of people hanging out - from young to old, gay and straight, casual and some more formal. The staff recommended some great dining options although you don't have to go far since the sub sandwich shop on-site is almost a religious experience (and the same applies to the coffee shop). While I didn't stay in one of the bunk bed rooms, that is also a great option for some travelers. I walked to Chelsea, Times Square, and even the East Village so while the immediate area is "up and coming" you can get to popular neighborhoods easily.

Dining tip: In Hotel

Highly recommend Stumptown Coffee Roasters for anyone who loves a great latte and I had one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted at No. 7 Sub which is right around the corner.
