The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I was always able to get a great dinner recommendation and daily event suggestions. I was in the process of assisting a relative in setting up residence and the staff made our daily needs (apartment search, banking, services, commute, etc)very stress free. I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough. The hot continental breakfast each morning and the variety of coffee drinks always available was an added benefit.

My wife and I had one night to spend in NYC. We arrived at Penn Station and really didn't want getting to and from the hotel to be our chief time investment. AND we wanted to have some money left to see the town. Verve Hotel was amazing. The desk staff were very polite and carefully advised us how best to reach the hotel via the subway including which side of the station to exit. The two blocks from the subway to the hotel are not scenic and suggest vigilance but once at the hotel WOW. The staff was helpful, the lobby was clean and well lit. The room was very clean, very nicely and recently furnished. The bottled water, robes, coffee maker, and quality soaps were nice touches as were the several nice large pillows. The heater worked, and was quiet. Breakfast was typical hotel fare, but one of the hotel managers was there to give directions, assure satisfaction, and offered a printed sheet to make sure our walk to the subway was without a hitch. Wonderfully friendly and concerned without being overbearing. My wife and I will go back again and feel this is one of those "secrets" that we were lucky enough to learn early in what will be many trips to NYC.

We visited people on Roosevelt Island and this hotel was perfect for that. It was clean, comfortable and the hot/cold breakfast was perfect for us. The staff was generally very helpful.

Located away from Downtown Manhattan but only short 5 min walk to tube station. Once on tube only a short ride to all the sites in manhattan. The area around the Hotel looks a bit rough although we did not have any problems and we felt quite safe. The staff at teh Hotel were very happy to advise on sites to see and even gave hotel contact number incase we got lost. Secure parking available at cost $20 a night, this is situated underneath the Hotel. Their is ice water available and free coffee in the lobby. The breakfast is Americas version of a continental one. Not that great really but will put you on until lunch. Once we had got our bearings we found getting in and out of Manhattan really easy and would stay at this Hotel again.

Situated 5 mins from the subway and just few stops to downtown New York. Fantastic value hotel. Staff happy to help with anything we asked. No charge for Internet in the room, printing and coffee /cappuccino machine or breakfast. Nice area.felt safe at all times- even walking back from the station at 10pm. Can't imagine staying anywhere else but here when visiting New York

The hotel did offer the free parking when told it was on the website. Very nice hotel! Very accommodating, gave us good directions and a subway map.

This was a very nice modern looking hotel. The room was very nice and it was only a few blocks to the subway. It was only a 15 minute subway ride to times square.
