This hotel was fine for the price we paid for it. Breakfast was average with choice of bagels, cereal, fruit and doughnuts. Room was comfortable and cleaned every morning and a good sized room, however bathroom was quite small. There is a free shuttle that can be used once a day to get to the local subway station, however we never used it as it was a short distance walk. Staff in hotel was average. There is a graveyard just across the road from the hotel, however it didn't bother us. It is only a 10-15 minute subway ride into times square.

If using the subway or buses, get a metrocard. Costs $29 for 7 days unlimited pass, meaning you can use the subway as much as you want. However it has a 10 minute lock out period after being used

OK if you want a cheap place
I'm pretty open to cheap hotels and this place fits the bill. I got what I paid for with a few weird things on the side. I had booked a double online and when I got there they asked if I would be fine with a king. They touted how nice and quiet it is on the 5th floor. BEWARE the 5th floor. The room had no windows and the air conditioner was a portable unit with flexible dryer ducting to the exterior that couldn't get the room below 76, plywood countertops, and was generally a total dump. I asked to be moved back to the double I originally had and they did so. The new room on the 3rd floor was a typical cheap hotel, but had a functional A/C, clean sheets, generally clean bathroom, TV, microwave, old carpet, and a desk. The whole place smells like smoke, so don't even bother trying to avoid it. Apparently the owner isn't good about paying their DirectTV bill because every 30mins a warning would pop up on the TV telling me to pay the DirectTV bill or risk losing service. This was particularly annoying since it filled the screen and prevented me from watching TV. I never made it down for breakfast or used the shuttle service, so I can't speak to those. My stay was capped off by a strange deal where they parked their hotel minivan across the exit end of the one-way driveway. When I asked if they could move the van so I could leave, they looked at me like I was stupid. I guess they expected us to turn around and go out the wrong way, but they moved the van. As soon as we pulled through, they parked it right back where it was blocking the driveway. Weird. Overall, it qualifies as a cheap place to stay if that's what you are looking for.

Nice and affordable
We were there to visit the city after bowling in Syracuse. The hotel staff was very nice to 2 girls from TX, lol. The only thing I really missed was a swimming pool, but there is no room to put it there, unless they can get it on a roof, lol.

Nice for the price
Staff was helpful. Room was very small but comfortable. Staff was nice. The room had a tinge of a bad smell to it. I wish it had been closer to the subway.
