Cabins? I think not.
Swiss Acres Inn is an older motel that needs a lot of updating. After getting our room for $75.00 a night we pulled in to see a "walk ins- $58.00" sign. Always a great feeling to know you overpaid. After checking in at approximately 8:15pm hurried to grab a bite to eat at the hotel restaurant. Food was overpriced and didn't seem like any care was put into its preparation. Proceeded to our room where we discovered 2 double beds a sink and a bathroom- very small rooms. Walls were thin and heard everything happening around us. Overall a basic hotel that definitely needs updating.

Not bad ... But not good either
I stayed in the standard room. There were friendly employees. Cozy room, but almost too cozy. There wasn't much room for me to drop my gear and get my wet shoes off without getting the rest of the carpet wet. I was there for work/skiing and my first day there we got dumped on with snow. The parking area wasn't plowed when I got back after skiing and couldn't get into the Inn. I had to park in a random parking area and walk back to my room. And too far to walk into town in a blizzard so I was stranded in my room. For $10/night more I would have stayed somewhere else.

the worst....
the worst.....No mixing words here, it was a dump. Maybe 30 years ago it might have been a cute place to stay. Needs a lot attention to say the least. It is falling apart and hasn't seen a coat of paint in years. The rooms were dirty and the lobby and bar/dining area hadn't been vacuumed in many, many days. The website does not in any way reflect the conditions of the hotel. There is not a free full breakfast, and there is no fitness center. Stay away, there are many other places in the area to choose from that are far more worth the money. We travel very frequently and this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.

Aweful nasty rat trap
My boyfriend and i went skiing. Found this hotel with 3 star rating and couldnt wait to get there. We are NOT very picky, however, this was one of the worst experiences I have had for the money we paid. We got a deal for 100 bucks a night. When i got there the walk in rate was 60. The room we originally got was small, dirty, non-smoking in a back building competely smoked through. TV was not working. I figured for 100 a night at least the TV should work. We complained. Natually for a 100 dollars a night. The put us in a room even smaller and dirtier and smellier. After a longer conversation, they moved us to a biger room in the main building. it was late, we just went to bed. In the morning, "hot full breakfast" was 3 dollar coupon for scrambled eggs and white toast, anything esle you had to buy, served by a woman with long FILTHY loose hair who clearly has not showered in weeks. I am not squemish, but i could not eat. That woman should NOT be handling food. I beleive she is also the bartender... Gross. After a full day of sking we got back to the room, and it was not made up. We felt that for 100 dollars a night, they can at least make the bed. I am not even going to mention the filthy floors. We saw the room for the first time in day light. AS i was making the bed, i saw the fleece covers we slept under the night before. 2 covers with what i hope was vomit and NOT other bodily fluids on them. Thats when he and I both lost it. We took the covers and went to front desk. There we were met by a "manager" - a girl who agreed with us that this was nasty. We obviously vented our frustration that the service we are getting is most defintely not worth 210 dollars we paid for a weekend. We said the room is filthy, not made up, and we are sleeping on only god knows what. She was so rude. Told me that it was my decision to pay this much money. That she has "corrected the problem" by giving us clean covers and yelling at some boy for not making up the room. That she cant do more then that. She insisted that this hot breakfast is NOT false advertising. Basically customer service in its glory. [*].. I would reach out to the hotel owner but I figured that it would be best to share my experience with new potential clients so you know what you are getting into. It was a REALLY nasty place. My parents stayed at another place. Its was VERY basic, but it was clean, warm, and extremely accomodating with a very nice man in front desk. and cheaper. Just look around and DONT settle for this rat trap. I wish i did.

It was alright
The shower water was hot for about 45 seconds, then was lukewarm to cold on and off at about 1 minute intervals for the rest of the time. The room was small but clean, the pillows were exquisite and the heater worked exceptionally well. This is a fair value for the money. You get what you pay for.

Never ever stay in this rat hole
Small filthy room with 2 small beds. No shampoo etc. Dirt everywhere The "full hot breakfast" was coupon for 3 Bucks. To be fair the food was quite good but the advertising of the breakfast is very deceptive. Don't stay here; warn your friends

Friendly and Afforable
I was greeted at the desk by a gentlemen who was very helpful and gave me coupons for a free drink with dinner if we were eating in the restaurant for that evening and a coupon for a hot breakfast (eggs, toast) for the next morning. he also gave me the password for the wireless internet. All 3 of which I didn't get a chance to use. The room was a bit on the small side, but was great for just the 2 of us. We didn't plan on being in the room all too often. I would recommend for a great value for the price paid. Very friendly at the front desk

Did the trick
I stayed here as a member of the bridal party of a wedding taking place at the Whiteface Lodge across the street. It was incredibly convenient and incredibly affordable. I was in a small, traditional motel-style room. It wasn't anything to write home about, but I was really only in the room to sleep. A lot of wedding guests were staying at the hotel, and I saw quite a lot of variety in the types of rooms and suites available. A little row of cottages were very cute and offered (tight) sleeping space for a big group. After the reception, we built a fire in a fire pit on the property and sat around playing guitars and singing until 5 am. Not only was this not an issue with the management, the owner came out to join us for several hours. My room wasn't anything special, and wasn't the kind of hotel room you go on vacation to hang out in, but it was a great price, the management was very friendly (if a bit understaffed, but it was between main tourist seasons), there is a wonderful sandwich place across the street (I never ate in the hotel restaurant), and while a bit off the main drag, it was a very short drive to the downtown area along Mirror Lake. Don't expect a 4 star experience, but I would highly recommend this place to a group coming to enjoy the area attractions.
