I payed about 180 a night and I thought it was too much money for this place

The Tiki has a great location, about a half mile outside of the main strip in Lake George, but still within easy walking distance. Upon arrival I was informed, politely, that my room had not been cleaned. I waited for 30 minutes and was informed that it would be another 20 minutes. I chose to leave and come back later. When I returned I asked for a late checkout but was told that was not an option. As an alternative the manager upgraded my room to a jacuzzi suite. When I finally got into the room it was clean and rather large. The outdoor pool was a decent size and the parking was readily available. I would consider this hotel on my next trip to Lake George.

Just needed a weekend away and this hotel was perfect! Great price, great location, easy to find and nearby to other attractions. would stay at this hotel again

The Short and Sweet version: Our room was not ready at check in time. (along with a lobby full of other people) When we did check in a bar of soap was still on the floor behind bathroom door along with a dusty towel rack. (To be fair the important areas were clean) Pool indoors looked like it needed to be drained and scrubbed clean. Pool outdoors looked much cleaner but had no chlorine smell and tasted like salt water. I don't know what they use, but I've never been in a pool that tasted like salt water before. Maybe that's just me???? The first night a couple above our room argued loudly until 1:30 am when they were eventually paid a visit. (it wasn't me that complained but I was getting close) I'm sure there were at least 4-6 rooms that were being kept awake. The second night an adjacent room was happily, albeit loudly, playing with their little kid and watching TV until 12:30 am. (less irritating but still made sleep impossible) I tuned my TV to the same channel they were watching and muted the sound because I could hear it just fine from the other room. In the morning the cable or satellite was out and the TV didn't work at all. Good thing we were checking out anyway. These other guests are not really the fault of the hotel itself but suffice it to say there are dozens and dozens of places to stay in Lake George and I will absolutely be exploring another place next time I'm in the area. My regret is that I didn't check out after the first night and walk down the street to another hotel. To end on a positive note, the staff at the front desk were polite and apologized alot despite being obviously frustrated themselves. We took the horseback ride including dinner at the top of Beech Mt. with Bennett's riding stables. Wonderful! We had dinner at Pumpernickels in Bolton Landing (authentic German fare). Also Wonderful!

Upon arrival the lobby, lounge and entertaining area looked great. Once we got in the room we found that it appeared very dirty and after looking further it looked as if it took all of 3 minutes for them to service the room. There was food in drawers that had flies on them. There was a half of sandwich unwrapped and open chip bags in the fridge. The towels in the bathroom were shoved in a lump on the towel rack, not even folded. When we turned on the lights over the bed one popped and exploded. I called the front to let them know what happened and they said someone would come to clean it up and fix everything. They never cleaned the sheets after that and when I got in the bed I cut my hand on the glass from the light that was still in the bed. During the night the doors and walls were so thin we could here the people next to us yeeling at their kids and watching tv very load most of the night.[...]

had a great time while vacationing with friends. great location with easy access to town, the lake and our favorite, the local brewery.

We booked two rooms. Neither were ready at check in time. One was ready an hour after; the other two hours after. In one room, floor lamp and TV did not work because of some electrical problem; in the same room the telephone did not work. Maintenance responded quickly to work around the electrical problem and to replace the defective phone. Since we were only there for a few hours, passing judgement may not be objective; pricing, however, seemed excessive most likely because of the holiday weekend.

The hotel is quite fair, but not excellent for the price - it wasn't season and the problem we had was with the bathtub sink that seems to be jammed, since it was quite late we didn't bother to signal to the reception.

This hotel didn't impress me at all. First complaint the floors were tiled and not carpeted so we had to go buy slippers becuase are feet were freezing. Second complaint I had requested a roll away bed prior to arriving and when we got there it wasn't in the room when I called to have it brought to our room I was told I would be charged an additional $10 per night for it. Third complaint the indoor pool was tiny. Fourth complaint The last day we were there construction on the hotel woke us at 7:30 A.M. and we had no hot water for a shower and my youngest child was bitten in the armpit by something during the night. The only thing good I have to say about this hotel is the breakfast was delicious.

Pluses: Floor was white tile (not carpet), hence we could see it was clean. The whole room/bathroom combo was clean. My sister and I were there at the end of the season, so we didn't take advantage of the pool and Pacific island shows but that would have been a plus. We had a very nice breakfast--lots of choices and good service. Minuses: The stairwell to the second floor was dank and difficult for an older person to use. The bathroom was tiny and the sink was slow to drain but these were minor problems.
