Face Lift
The place has seen better days, clean and neat, but it is getting old. Needs a face lift. Fall season no cafe, and their recommended restuarant accross the street was closed. It is right on the lake though.

don't do it!
This was a creepy place to stay - the photos are very misleading. First, the beach front is tiny and covered with ducks - if 5 people are on the beach, it's full. The pool is smaller than the pics shown. The rooms are scary, tiled floor, nothing quiet matches properly, cob-webs in the corners, the bathroom wall paper was peeling off in several places, the tub is pink - an original from the '50s and probably the last time it was cleaned, the fan/light in the bathroom is louder than a jack hammer, the door locks were hob-jobbed with wood and didn't seem to shut properly - I did not feel secure, the window had hand prints and were moldy with condensation, we slept with the light on as I was afraid of what might crawl out if we turned them off, we had to jiggle the TV wires to get a clear picture, parking is crazy, most spots are on hills that leave you worrying if your car was going to roll away in the night, You get the idea...I would not recommend this hotel - pay a little more and stay at one of the chains.

the Log Jam is very good for lunch with an amazing salad bar - prices are not bad - comparable with an Olive Garden.

Attention to Detail Missing
Great location with a beautiful view of Lake George. Since we booked late our room did not have the view, but it was a short walk to the beach or the pool. We stayed two nights, which was about enough. The room was clean enough, once we wiped away a few random dead insects. But the TV remote didn't work and when using the TV manually we only received 13 of some 55 channels that should have been available. The refrigerator was missing the control knob and we discovered the next day that all our food and drinks were frozen solid. Also no cold water was available in the bathroom. Did these problems destroy our short vacation? No way. The location, the lake, the good weather overcame the room issues. We had little interaction with staff, but on checkin the woman at the counter was pleasant and had an honest smile on her face. NOTE: lots of hills from rooms to the lake; good exercise but not for everyone.

We went to the dinner theater at the Holiday Inn about 2 miles away. Food was okay, but we loved the show, "Skin Deep."

Fun Family getaway.
We have stayed on the North side of Lake George several times in the past in at least three different motels besides this one. This was the best room that we have had on the north side of the lake. Floors were tiled, not carpeted but very clean. Room was clean and staff was pleasant. Beach is smaller than other hotels that we had stayed at over the years at Lake George, but overall a very nice, enjoyable and relaxing stay. Only had to see the staff twice, at check-in and check-out. Nice location as a short drive to main part of town and not far from Bolton Landing.

Motel is located in convinient location, right off Route 87, north of the main part of Lake George. Convinent for traveling north, south or in Town.

adequate
Somewhat overpriced but I guess they have a short season to earn money and motel was full. Location near town / highway and free wi-fi and flat screen cable TV are pluses. Room appeared to have been recently partially renovated. They are making an effort but it is a tired old motel. There appear to be worse choices you could make in the same neighborhood.

Great Get Away Spot
Great get away spot. This location was off the main strip of Lake George's entainment but close enough to get there in a matter of a few minutes. It was great to wake up to the lake view and enjoy the morning before starting out on your planned events. Would have enjoyed a continental breakfast, but eateries were close enough to even walk. would go back, clean and comfortable for the affordable price.

minutes away from downtown and a quiet place to be after a busy day. Enjoy sitting outside at the end of the day, and early morning.

Not as nice as expected!
Not recommended for anyone with a handicap or the elderly. This hotel was built into the side of a hillside, which might be very common due to nature of the area. The parking was annoying because the only way to check if there was a space was to go all the way down to the bottom and then back up the mountain if none available. The room and pool looked much nicer (and larger) in the picture. The bathroom light did not work so we had to use a heat lamp to see. The maid service was excellent and the room did have free wi-fi, a refrigerator and a microwave at no additional charge. This hotel should put in a paved walkway to use going down to the water instead of all the concrete stairs. I actually would consider it a hazard for younger children unless they were walked to the water. The private beach was nice and there were paddleboats and a row boat to rent. The view was wonderful from our room. I would not have been as disappointed if the room was cheaper for the quality presented but it was the middle of summer.

Short drive from hotel
Wild West horseback riding was a nice combo of flat and climbing trails. People there were very nice and the horses are well taken care and wanted to go out! Stay away from the Pancake House if you are on a budget! It was 52.00 for eggs and pancake breakfast for myself and two children. The Fun Spot arcade was the best and ranked #1 for our travels. They have a fantastic laser tag that is 3 levels that would make any child feel like a space fighter. The go cart track outside was great and the staff wonderful. Also have bumper cars, rock climbing, indoor go cart track, arcade and party rooms available for rent. Everything about this place rocked!
