Our breakfast in The White Lion is the best breakfast with a view on the lake. Wake up and enjoy the panoramic view while you try our jumbo eggs, homemade hash sausage, Oscar's smokehouse bacon and ham inside or go outside and sit on the deck around the old sugar maple tree and smell the fresh Adirondack air.

J.T. Kelly's is a unique restaurant serving American and Italian cuisine in a relaxed but elegant setting where food is our passion and service is our obsession. Not what we expected

Great location, within walking distance to town. Sadly disappointed in the hotel choice. There are 3 separate buildings - ... Grand Hotel, Standard West and Premier. This is not made clear to you when booking. You are not given an option for choosing where you'd like to stay when booking. We thought we were staying in the Grand Hotel, when in fact we were booked in the Standard. Believe me - it is just that - STANDARD.

Beware when you book this hotel online. The pictures show you this beautiful hotel and when you get there, you might be booked in one of the smaller hotels associated within this complex.

Know EXACTLY where you're staying first.

There are three sections of the Hotel, one of which is an actual Motel. When we first arrived I was told that we would be ... staying in the Motel section. The room was cramp, filthy and smelt of cirgarettes. We called the front desk but did not recieve a response, so we then called Orbitz custmer service and who was able to get a hold of the general manager. He gave us a n ew room, however, it was not far better than the Motel room. It was in the east end of the Hotel and not part of the new building. My husband and I had a miserable night sleep on their small uncomfortable beds. Before booking againg one should make sure they know exactly where they will be staying because there are three parts, and the one on the picture is of course the newly built building, whereas the others are not displayed. Also, the front desk staff is not as friendly or helpfull as they should be.

Don't count on a room at the resort
MJS May 18, 2009
We had to stay in the dumpy motel next to the main building. It was definitely NOT a 4 star room. I wouldn't even give it a ... 1 star. It was dirty and noisy and they put us in a room with 1 bed until we complained even though we had reserved a room with 2 beds and the person checking us in clearly saw that we had 3 people. I will never stay at this hotel again.

A peaceful retreat
Linda May 20, 2007
Fort William Henry Resort was very comfortable, the room was very modern with all new updates. The bed was comfortable and ... the view from our window was of the village of Lake George. The bathroom had a shower and a separate bathtub. They had a big clothes closet with a safe inside for your valuables. There was a refrigerator, microwave, coffepot and a good size counter to prepare a light meal in the room. The room was well insulated where the noise from the hallways was minimal. The walk to the village was 1/2 a block away and resturants were all in walking distance. The location of the hotel was close to everything.
