Very good, near resturants. excellent for short trips,it has airport shuttle which reduce stress and hurry to JFK.

The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer, the room was spotless and it was the cheapest i could find near the airport. Great for a long layover at JFK. Their were take out menus in the lobby, I ordered Chinese food and it was at my room in what seemed like 5 minutes. Delicious! Only complaint was that the shuttle took awhile to pick me up at the airport. Dial 73 on the courtesy phone if you don't have a US cell phone.

I booked a room at the Super8 after reading the amenities and services offered on the Orbitz and Super8 websites, respectively. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful, but the only thing they got right was a single smoking room! The smoking room had no ashtray, the latch on the door was broken, and worst of all, there weren't ANY basic amenities outside of wireless Internet and TV. The shuttle service was on-time, but there was no water in the room, no fridge, no iron or hair dryer...basically, I would have preferred to spend an extra $50 to stay at one of the nicer hotels in the area -- because the price difference between Super8 and the Sheraton was just about that much. Too expensive for such a poorly maintained premises.

We needed a nearby place for overnight between connections at JFK. We arrived about 5PM and left at 3AM. The shuttle arrived at JFK about 10 minutes after my call. The ride to the motel was about 15 minutes - longer than expected for an "airport" location. I didn't see any parking, if you're driving, be sure to check on that. The desk staff was polite and helpful to arrange a car for our return to JFK the next morning (before the first free shuttle run.) The room was clean and quiet, but had seen better days. The towels were clean, but small and thin, and the four pillows on the king bed were the thinnest I've ever seen. There was a McDonald's and a Wendy's within a block, and two neighborhood groceries as well. It's a mixed residential/commercial area.

I shopped for clothes since Jamaica ave is so close. If the room was more clean and appealing. The tub had mole on the wall and the shower heads was disgusting and toilet was not clean at all. I had to talk to management in order to get it done.

Convenient van service to and from JFK airport until about 11:15 pm. Staff were helpful. Quite reasonable price for JFK airport area. Walking distance to McDonalds and Wendys - about 3 minutes.

Bus driver who took us at the airport, was dangerously driving to the hôtel. Reception not clean and nice. Room, bed-sheet not clean. Noisy place especially at night, and not very safe.

Was dropping my son off at St Johns Univ. The hotel was close enough to walk to the school and cheap enough for the parent of a college student. We had fun walking to subways and shopping at all the dollar type stores. The room was small, staff was hit and miss, but nothing you couldn't live with. Free breakfast, thats always a plus. the neighborhood looked a little scary to a newbie but i felt perfectly safe by myself. give it a try if your budgets tight.
