My review of Holiday Inn NEW YORK-JFK AIRPORT
Kenneth Oct 18, 2008
Very comfortable clean room. They took me to the JFK Federal Air Train every day so that I could ride the subway into ... Manhattan. Was a nice extra not having to call a cab or get a bus to the Jamaica Station to get on the subway. Only problem I had was a weak Wi Fi signal at times in my room.

My review of Holiday Inn NEW YORK-JFK AIRPORT
Donnie Sep 21, 2008
the Holiday Inn JFK was a nice place to stay overall. the staff and manager were very accomodating. The concierge was very ... helpful getting me a car to my Broadway show and for shopping and the driver of the car, Singh, was kind enough to pick me up after the show. the shuttle took me straight to the airport at 4.30 am for my flight and i could not have had a nicer experience.

Good option in a pitch, but too expencive for what it offers
Konstantin Aug 23, 2008
I and my girlfriend stayed in this hotel for one night because she had to catch a plain in the morning and this was the ... cheapest option available in the vicinity of the JFK airport. Plus they had a shuttle going every half an hour that would take you all the way to the terminal. I had great first impression of the hotel. Even though the area on the drive up to the hotel seemed kind of shady, the hotel had gated parking lot with the attendant at the gate. The lobby was clean and the staff was attentive and friendly. Check-in took maybe five minutes and then we were on our way to the room. The room was clean, with a big bed more than enough for two people. However, even though the bed was spacious, it wasn't exactly comfortable. In addition, the walls in the room were paper thin. We had a couple of drunken morons staying next door, and I swear, we heard every work they said loud and clear. There were plenty of dining options in the hotel. The staff provided carry out menus so all we had to do was call the front desk and give them our order if we had chosen that option. There also was a restaurant on the premises. However, I would recommend going with the carry out. The restaurant is overpriced ($14 appetizers) and the food is stale. My girlfriend had a dry (microwave heated) chicken. But the staff seemed friendly and accommodating. Over all, I would say this hotel is an ok place to stay over if you need a last minute option, but I would not stay there for more than a night.

Oscar Jul 12, 2008
The Hotel clerk tried (twice) to check me into a room that was already occupied-scaring the lady inside. The rooms were ... filthy and the bathroom had roaches on the floor. Because i had a business meeting the next moring, I was stuck with the room. The meals at the Hotel were much to high-so I ate elswhere. The Hotel had free shuttle back to the airport, so i never used Manhattan Supershuttle (they probably would no have come anyway).

Maria Apr 5, 2008
The staff was very welcoming from the minute you walked in the door until you walked out. The room was a little larger than ... I expected and was well cared for. The bed was comfortable and the choice of pillows was a nice extra. It was great that it was as close as it was to the airport and easy to get on and off the expressway.

Adequate for a one night's stay
Richard Mar 11, 2008
We were very tired. My wife went right to bed. I went to the Restaurant for a bite to eat. The food was satisfactory, but ... pricey. The room was adequate. An array of pillows were there and a note if we wanted more, to just ask. My wife found no hair dryer, microwave, or refrigerator. It was a plain pipe rack room and did not reflect the spaciousness and luxurious look of the Hotel.

Un-proffessional Staff
Rev. Eugene Nov 30, 2007
When I arrived in New York the hotel shuttle driver said he hurt his finger early that morning and he couldn't assist with ... putting my 6 bags on the back of the shuttle, I was wondering what was the point of him coming to work that day! When I arrived at the hotel to check in there was no one around to assist me with my bags once again or a cart for me to carry them on my own, so once again I'm carrying my own bags, to the 6th floor. On another day I requested assistance from the front desk staff at the business center, and I was snubbed and treated unkind for no reason!! Just a typical stay at the Holiday Inn. By the way when checking out the bellman said he would assist with the luggage as soon as the shuttle arrives, well you could probably guess it we loaded our own bags on due to the bellman being missing once the shuttle arrived. I will say this out of all of that the maid service was remarkable, and I love each and every one of those beautiful ladies that treated us with such respect and love! Thank you ladies!

Rude Staff / Noisy room
jayne Aug 9, 2007
Upon arrival at the check in desk the first Staff member(Female), was very unhelpful and rude. Eventually we got checked ... into our room. Shortly after midnight a really noisy party started in both room on either side of ours, we had to call security twice and eventually the police arrived and at 3am the noise finally ended. Overall the experience was horrible and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

George Jul 26, 2007
My biggist complaint is the airport shttle service. You have to walk all the way from arrivals to departures to catch the ... shuttle in a very busy pick up area. I had to wait for 30 minutes for the shuttle to arrive and it had no AC and was about to fall apart. Getting to the airport was a little better but forget about speaking English.
