My stay in Holiday In-Express JFK Airpor

When I checked in, the front dest clerk did not ask me if I want Non Smoking or Smoking Room. When I entered the room the ... heavy smell of Cigarettes Smoke hit my face. I had to return to the front dest with all my luggages to change the Room to Non-Smoking one. Ten the electronic Card-Key did not open the door and i had to return to the front desk to replace the key. Except this excident everything was good as I indicated above. In the futur If i need to be in New-York, I will return to stay in this Hotel. many Thanks Meir M Rosenfeld

Since they only offer breakfast, you have to go elsewhere for lunch and dinner. There is a place listed in their directory called the Pizza Port that delivers pizza and BEER! The pizza was very good and it was nice to relax with a beer.

The best thing about this hotel is the ease and convenience; the shuttle service was great and makes using the NYC subway ... system very easy for a first-timer. However, the hotel room left something to be desired in terms of cleanliness. The room stank of mold and we soon found out why. The bathroom had multiple sites of black mold (all over the ceiling, the tub and even the floor) and was thoroughly disappointing.

Front Desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had nice options and tasty. My stay was just overnight to catch ... connecting flights out of JFK so location was extremely convenient and accommodations comfortable. Would have been nice to have a restaurant option in the hotel or closeby; had to order from a delivery menu which was readily available from Front Desk.

We came to N Y for our Granddaughter's birthday, an overnight stay. King bed was clean and comfortable, but the room was ... slightly small with no refrigerator. The staff was very attentive,cordial, and helpful. I would recomend this hotel for an overnight stay

The hotel was very clean and nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The towels were really ... soft and thick which was nice. Since it was an airport hotel, I wondered how noisy it would be, but it was very quiet. They offer a free shuttle to the airport. We were there to find an apartment for my son. Knowing what I know now, this was not a great location for what we needed to do - approximately 2 hour trip each way on the airtrain/subway. That made for a long five days. If you plan to stay here and go into the city each day sightseeing, just know that it can be a long trip. Otherwise, it's a great place and a good deal!

Surprisingly nice HolidayInn Express. Standard rooms that are identical across the franchise. Here, they appear recently ... renovated and everything is in near immaculate condition. It's not a quite hotel (few places in and around NYC are) but if you need to spend a night near JFK, this is as good as it gets on the value front.

Hotel was fine, although I requested a non-smoking room and got a smoking room. My friends who live in New York told me to be ... careful in Jamaica. So I just stayed in my room until I left the next day.

We just wanted to rest spent the night and continue travel the only thing that would have made the room perfect was a small ... fridge or kitchenette,but I would rated excellent very complete the complimentary breakfast,very polite employees and a super clean and cozy room Keep up the good work I would stay again at my next stop in New York

The hotel is close to JFK but it was easy to get to Manhattan the two days we were there. I never felt as though I was in ... danger as some of the other reviews mentioned. The subway was clean, safe, and fast. It is a good option if you don't mind the short trip from the hotel to the city.

Great spot to stay overnight on your way in or out of JFK. Not fancy at all, but it's clean, quiet and with a staff more ... than willing to help. My only complaint is the computer times out after 15 minutes so I didn't get everything finished.

The first floor was midway between being basement level and first floor. My room was on that floor. It felt damp and the ... windows were small and looking out onto tires. It was very noisy since I was also overlooking the expressway.

Needed a place to stay prior to dropping my daughter off for an early morning flight at JFK. The hotel offers a shuttle ... service to and from the airport, was surprisingly quiet for its busy location, had clean and comfortable rooms, offered a decent breakfast. Front desk and shuttle staff were very helpful. The only downside may be the limited parking. We arrived late at night and there were no spots available. But the front desk clerk was very helpful and found us a spot right in front of the hotel.

Stayed for 1 night on transit to catch a flight from JFK. Though rooms were a bit small, considering the location and price, ... it is OK. Friendly staff. Good complementary buffet. Complementary airport transfers. They agreed for an extended check out even.

If you ask the hotel staff for menus to places nearby they will hand you several from places that deliver right to your room. Be prepared to wait a while if you order Indian food, but the Chinese food gets there fast enough and has a good taste
