Contemporary hotel with free breakfast, free airport shuttle near JFK

This hotel appeals to travelers looking for impressive amenities and proximity to John F. Kennedy International Airport. Great for Business Travel

Everything was great. My room was directly across from the elevator, so when I walked off I walked straight into my room. The room was very clean and comfortable. I reall enjoyed the breakfast and coffee. I could make a plate with an omelet or have pancakes and sausage.

great one night stay

The staff was very accomadating, personable and friendly. The experience was very positive. On our arrival the staff was holding a social hour which was pleasant. The only negative was that they had recently converted the 5th floor to nonsmoking and our room still smelled of cigarette smoke -- ask for a different floor.

Good location to JFK

On arriving at this hotel we where told that the heating was broken and was transferred to another hotel round the corner for a night, we couldn't unpack our suite cases because we were booked in at our hotel for the next morning no assistance with our language the following morning either. This would have been our fourth time staying at the Holiday Inn from June – December 2012 but I will be looking at different hotels on my next trip in May 2013 I feel that the level of care and compassion has deteriorated and I have lost confidence in the level of reason by some of the duty staff.

The need was for a local to JFK hotel and you fit the bill with price and convenience Room was OK and I would go back again shuttle was great and the driver helpful

Good place for an overnight stay

This hotel is much better then many others in the area. The hotel staff were very friendly and assistive at all requests. Most of all, I was impressed with their quick reaction to my requests. Aboslutely no hesitation was shown. I was not sure if I could tip the staff and therefore did not do it, but should I knew I was allowed to do so, I'd certainly give them a tip. The room was as clean as it possibly a hotel room could be. It is also a well stuffed and equipped hotel where one does not have to worry about things. Comparison of my stay here with my previous stays at Marriott hotels could be described with not at all or with insignificant difference. My review is based on one night stay only.

If you want to have a piece of mind, and perhaps to pay a bit of extra price then in other hotels close to the JFK, then go to Holiday Inn Express at Kennedy Airport.

Basic Hotel Close to JFK .. not much more

The hotel was clean but the manager wasn't accommodating or friendly as we showed up with 7 suitcases. He actually seemed to be ticked that we had that much baggage. Concierge and reception tried hard to make up for the boss's rudeness. Shuttle drivers were very helpful and pleasant, even though they had to handle the bags.

There are no restaurants in the area. You can take the shuttle to a nearby Casino or have food delivered in. The area of the hotel is industrial.

convenient

This hotel provided exactly what we needed, a place to lay our heads before an early morning flight out of JFK. The hotel shuttle was prompt and quite convenient. The free continental breakfast was actually better then expected. The hotel was quiet the night we were there, very little street and city noise. the other guests were quiet as well. It is in a sketchy part of town, and our NYC living friend advised us not to leave the hotel after dark. Which was no problem since the hotel provided several take-out menus to places that deliver. If needed we would stay again for another overnight flight, nothing longer than that though

Ho Hum

Airport hotel, LONG wait for the shuttle. The rooms were clean yet somewhat smelly. Fine for a night but not for much else. Would be nice to have some fruit or vegetables for breakfast...the pre made omelets with Kraft cheese slices were something I will never try again.

Airport room

The hotel was close to JFK so we can depart early in the morning.The room was small and the ac was making a noise.It was close to the airport otherwise I wouldn't have stay.I would recommend this hotel to someone who has to take an early flight out of JFK.
