Perfect for a short layover at JFK
Part of a cluster of hotels that are the closest to JFK. I've stayed in all of these hotels now and the differences between them are subtle. The room was very clean and comfortable and the price was right. The staff were helpful and friendly - this is not always the case in this part of the world, so this makes a difference! The local neighborhood seems kind of sketchy, but I've walked around to various stores and restaurants and had no problems. In fact, the people out on the streets are more friendly than the people staying in the hotel.

You're not going to find anything good to eat. I've tried. It's just not going to happen, so keep your expectations low.

Value in NY
Room was ok, bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was service your self and both filling and fresh. If you know your way around and/or have a rental car this will do nicely. But if you're looking for sights and need to be close to the city you might want to try something else. However if your adventerous or familure with the NY Metro system then this is someplace you might want to think about for the dollar value.

Great for Lay Overs!
We were close, close to the Airport. Close to the Trains into the City. That was great. Could have had a bit more Amenities--like more at Breakfast. Would I stay there again? Yeap

Ordering in is the "order of the day." The Italian Restaurant--excellent food to the Hotel!

too expensive
we paid more than $100 per night. But not that worthy. not enough towels, staff was not friendly. And too far from manhattan. if you call taxi,have to pay $65 + tip. or take subway, it takes about 2 hours.

simply what I needed
I needed just a rest, waiting for my flight connection: 16 hours of interval. I found everything I needed: comfort, rest, good connection to the airport, a fast drive to NY City downtown. The receptionists were kind and patient, very flexible and understanding. Enjoyable experience!!! Thank you!

The good the bad and the ugly
Slept - We wished that breakfast lasted until 10:00am on weekends Hotel room was very clean however, staff can be friendlier toward guests. Rate my experience a 5 out of 10 compare to previous trips

Dirty hotel, bad neighborhood
The hotel was very run down, rooms were somewhat clean but again, very run down. Business center was not working (I needed to print something). The neighborhood is not too safe to walk around so it doesn't add to appeal. Staff was not helpful at all and pretty much didn't care.
