You get what you pay for...

An overall average stay. I was only looking for a place where I could sleep and shower, and this hotel was exactly what I ... wanted. I was a bit disappointed when my friend left her coat behind and I was told that housekeeping didn't find anything... I would stay again, although I do emphasize that you not leave anything behind.

Great option for touring Manhattan
quiltraveler Nov 17, 2009
We stayed here as a cost-cutting option for a pleasure trip to NYC. The easy access to the subway, the availability of local ... restaurants and the immaculate condition of the room really made this a pleasurable trip for us. Although the breakfast is simple, the make-your-own waffles are delicious, better than I've had at any other hotel breakfast bar. Tips on subway use - Returning from Manhattan, note that the E train only stops at Briarwood/Van Wyck late at night, so you'll need to switch to the F train at some point on the ride. Avoid returning from Manhattan during rush hours unless you don't mind standing for the 20 minute trip.

We tried out many of the restaurants located on Queens Blvd behind the hotel. All were very good to excellent. In fact, many evenings we chose to come back from Manhattan to eat locally rather than pay big city dining prices.

Good Experience
Shan Sep 11, 2009
The hotel was very close to the highway. So, we could hear noises in the night (not too bad though). Apart from that, ... everything including the location, breakfast, cleanliness etc were good. The subway was just 7 mins away. We went to Manhattan & 'US Open - Flushing Meadows', and we had connecting trains from there!

Best Western Jamica Inn is ok
Family Sep 8, 2009
Rooms are a little bit small but acceptable. The front desk stuff is friendly. However, the house keeper threw up my mom's ... cosmetic pack which she put in the bathroom counter(I hope it's just accidentally happened), did bother my mom for a while. The front desk stuff is kind to offer toothbrush, tooth paste etc but my mom has more than that in her cosmetic pack. The location is not bad but still takes 15 minutes walk to subway. Q60 bus (the one close to hotel) is available but not frequently available.
