BEST WESTERN Kennedy Airport

I reached there very late around 1,15 am. Yet, I received a kind treatment.

Pick up good to and from hotel to JFK airport. Hotel served its purpose although I didn't get the requested wake up call, and the alarm clock didn't work. Hotel across the street was 20.00 less expensive.

My overall experience was ok for a airport hotel. The fact that the tv had only 10 working channels was a bit annoying. Another downside was the black ink stains on the sheets. However, the king sized bed was huge and comfy. At a rate of almost $175/night one would expect a larger room and more tv channels. The area is super close to the airport but still quiet so no weird noises from traffic outside. Overall they could do more to give you your money's worth ---Average!!!!

For those who need somewhere to stay overnight for an early morning flight out of JFK, the hotels surrounding JFK are a good value. They are generally nothing special in terms of amenities but their room rates are much lower than Manhattan. Call ahead to get instructions on how to catch the hotel shuttle from JFK. Each hotel has its own shuttle (which it may share with other hotels) but we caught a ride with another hotel's shuttle (which saved us some wait time). The morning breakfast was complimentary and surprisingly good. Good selection and the hot items were hot.

Stay was for one night on either end of an air trip out of JFK. Other than close to the airport, location is a negative in that there is nothing to walk to and the only food available has to be delivered in. But, an adequate eating area is there. Breakfast was part of the amenities stated, but was there only one of the two nights I stayed. Shuttle trips to/from airport were efficient and timely. Rooms were quite small but clean. Bathroom in one had been newly renovated so very clean and fresh.

Floor needed vacuming and no towels in room although front desk told me at check in that some were on their way up shortly. They did not arrive. Beeping from smoke alarm for battery low started at 5am and room was quite niosy throughout the night - room 220.

near to airport, shuttle is good. room comfort and cleanliness is good. staff service is average.

The Proximity of this Hotel to JFK and the Shuttle service was impeccable, the staff were homely and welcoming, which added to beautiful experience we had, its like being on our honeymoon again.

If your flight is early next morning and you are not looking for that extra hotel experience, just a clean place to sleep, then this is the place. I found the room expensive, considering I have stayed at much nicer hotels in mid-town Manhattan for the same price or less. Best Westerns are, however, really clean and the breakfast which is included may not be fancy but it does the job. For one short night's sleep - it's perfect. If you intend to stay longer and visit friends, this is not the place. The location is creepy but, at least, the hotel does provide security and keeps a close watch on who is coming and going.
