priced right but........

The price was okay for the area but the floor we were on smelled of cat urine. We had to call the front desk 5 times because of a underage drinking party in the room above us. The staff was friendly and responsive but i'll pay more to stay at a different place next time.

Scary

I stayed at royal Inn one night. I was on a painting job nearby. When I first got there I saw what looked liked a ragged homeless man milling about the parking lot, I travel alone and spook easy. I asked the front desk if they knew about him and they said he lived there in the hotel! [as do many others]. I was very nervous so I locked my door [it did not have a dead bolt]. The tub was too dirty looking to take a bath, and the kitchenette sink pipes made such loud noise [like a draining washing machine]I couldn't sleep. I told the front desk in the AM and they dismissed what I said, and said their was no problem before. I was very tired on my 4 hr. drive home after work.

Horrible experience

I left the hotel at 2:30a.m. because it was infested with bedbugs. The room was minimally cleaned and a light was burned out. I left the hotel with 6 bedbug bites. I found a bedbug crawling on my bed and took it to the clerk. He acted as if it wasn't a problem and did not try to make anything better. He did not make any attempts to print a receipt for my stay. The price for the room was not that much different than well known establishments. I will never stay at the Inn at Arbor Ridge again.

Inn at Arbor Ridge

- Did not have proper reservation details on arrival - The suite I booked was occupied and not available - Room was supposed to accomodate 4-5, accomodated three at most - Asked for linens and make up of sofa bed. Bed pad was burned. Staff just dropped off linens, left us to make up bed - Noisy in morning, arguing guests - Lots of commercial vehicles parked in lot, truck noise in morning - Would never stay there again

Pretty good

Rooms were comfortable and clean enough. The furnishings and esp. the bathroom looked old but well-maintained. Although there were parties held at the catering wing each night and our room faced the main road, our room was sound-proof. As others have mentioned, no amenities (like toiletries, alarm clock, etc) but if you're looking for a comfortable place to sleep, this is a great place.

bare bones

quiet and clean. Friendly staff but very bare bones hotel - no clock, no coffee maker, no gym, no breakfast, no internet access, no computer available with printing though the front desk offered me the use of the hotel computer and printer - but no microsoft word so I was stuck. Very inexpensive - not bad but I'd probably look for a step up if I'm in that area again.

Thinking about customer service

I stayed there a year ago and I noticed an improvement this time as it appears to be under new management. The staff was generally eager to help and very accommodating. For example, I needed an iron and ironing board (not provided in room) and the staff jumped at my request to provide one. They allowed me to check in early too. Overall, the rooms are adequate but it is not a new building and shows its age a little. For the money, this was a great deal. I'd go back there again.

Affordable place to sleep

My wife and I stayed here for one night visiting family nearby. It was the best looking place in the price range. Check in was easy. The room was clean enough. If you are looking for an inexpensive, clean, place to sleep, this is fine. The people were nice, and we felt safe. The police department is across the street, and they have cameras and the parking lot was well lit. For the price we paid, this was the nicest place in the area.

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

We listened to live acoustic guitar rock at Junction 52 Bar and Grill only a few minutes West on 52. Good music, good drinks, good food.
