Fairfield Inn by Marriott New York LaGuardia Airport/Flushing

I enjoyed the hotel for its affordability. However, it is not convenientely located. You need to take a shuttle bus which leaves every hour for the nearest subway station. Despite this the hotel is good, clean and I would recommend it for a budget-conscious traveler to NYC.

This hotel is not like a normal high-quality Marriott hotel. Shuttle was very late picking us up at Laguardia. We had to call them three times and each time they said it will be a few minutes. 45 minutes later it finally arrived. The mattress in the room was unusually soft and unsupportive. The real problem with this place is the constant, thunderous jet noise taking off from Laguardia airport. Hotel is right in the flight path. There is no room in the hotel where you can escape the noise. I stay at Marriotts all over the world and this is the worst Marriott property I have ever encountered.

The hotel is clean, but the airport shuttle takes forever, because apparently there is only 1 vehicle to serve all the guest. Far from everywhere.

Our stay was for one night and it was pretty good. We liked the hotel and the service.

WiFi connection cable was defective but was replaced immediately. This is the 5th time we've stayed here and have not been disappointed.

everything was great eccept that the room didn't had access to wireless service, but everything else was great. =)

Hotel staff were very friendly the whole time we were there (4 days). This hotel provides an excellent continental breakfast. However, for first time visitors to New York who want to see all the Manhattan attractions this hotel is an extremely inconvenient location. The hotel provides a shuttle 2 blocks to a subway station. Then you walk 5-7 to the subway. Take a 40 minute subway ride to Times Square. And then another subway to where ever you are going to from there. So we spent way too much time on a short trip getting to where we were going for the day. If you don't have a car with you do not stay at this hotel. Its not worth the hassle to get to tourist attractions to save a few extra bucks. I would recommend staying by Times Square area for first time travelers. The hotel is in a bad area. You would not feel safe walking around the area. There was nothing nice by the hotel. The room was very small. Way too small for 4 people to stay in.

The staff was very friendly and courteous...they took care of every detail and I totally enjoyed my stay there depsite the snow and bad weather outside. The shuttle serivce to and from the hotel and the subway stop was also a very nice perk.

this hotel was in an industrial area next to a garbage plant. Few parking spaces in lot. Most of the parking was on a deserted industrial area street. I was scared to walk to my car. Hard to find hotel. No restaurants in hotel or nearby. However, the room was clean and fairly new. Not recommended for woman traveling alone.

The Fairfield Inn in Flushing is a great hotel for the price. Employees are very attentive & friendly. Shuttle service to Airport & subway drop off was excellent --- the drop off/pick up for the subway is about a 5 minute walk, but we did not feel there were any safety concerns & we came back from the city around midnight. Commute into Manhattan is about 40 minutes during the weekdays. One thing to note, construction on subway rails is during the weekend, so you may have to map out a different route depending on where you are going/what trains are running. Hotel is in an Industrial Park area, so there really are no views, but we would definitely stay there again.
