We were in Syracuse to visit the university. The hotel staff was excellent - very friendly and they made good suggestions for restaurants. Theresa was particularly helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The work out room has very nice equipment and was very clean.

Evening Stay
Hotel had problems with making keys (equipment malfunction) and, consequently, check-in was backed up and very slow; Waited ~20 minutes for check-in. Otherwise fine, but nothing special.

Stayed there before, came back, would stay again
I have stayed at the Syracuse-Carrier Circle Hampton Inn 2 out of 3 times when visiting Syracuse. The combination of easy access to major highways, 10 minutes to downtown and their hot breakfast buffet makes it a good value. Only downside was room 414's location directly across from the ice machine. Very noisey machine and users late at night.

good respite from the road
I stayed overnight, breaking up a long drive. This was a very good place at a great rate. It was right off the highway and within 1/2 mile to many restaurants---some even open until 10pm on a Sunday night (I got in @ 8:30pm on Sunday without having had dinner). It clearly isn't the most up to date Hampton Inn (no refrigerator, bathroom was very basic)----but it was also at least $30/night less. For this single night stay it was a trade-off that made sense to me. I was very comfortable and was able to get a good nights' sleep.

Excellent Stay, however.......
I was in the area on business for a week. The location of the hotel was extremely convenient. Just a 10 minute drive to downtown Syracuse. There was also a Wegmans very close for non essentials and food. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The hotel was full every night and was the quietest I have been in. The only problem I had was staying on-line with my Mac. I had to make a trip to the front desk nearly every night to get help getting hooked up to the wireless network. That was the only hastle, truly a very enjoyable stay. The staff was great too and very helpful.

UNBEATABLE FOR THE PRICE

Visiting Daughter at SU
Clean room ,prompt check in and Joe at the front desk was friendly and funny made us fell at home and the complimentary breakfast was a plus. Actually the whole staff was friendly. What more can I say ,Oh!!! the price was right. :-) :-) :-) :-)

I guess if there was one item missing and it was not critical it was the lack of a refrig in the room.
