Amazing

Right as we walked into the hotel we were amazed. The lobby itself it just something else to see (coy fish pond). The suite was very clean and the beds were nice and comfy. We were given free drink tickets for that evening but we were unable to use them because we were out shopping. The bedroom in the suite was very quite, could not hear the shuffle of people in the morning. Breakfast was very cool how you could do the buffet or special order an omlet (all complementary). Our only issues were that night we went down to the bar for a cocktail before we went out and the bartender was not inviting. He didnt seem like he even wanted to be there. As we left though he warmed up a little. Our other issue was we wished we were informed earlier about the free shuttle that runs till 11, it wouldve saved us a $30 cab ride. We wished the air conditioner blew air more powerful (it was an 80+ degree weekend). Otherwise it was a great stay, would stay again if I am ever in the Syracuse area, and would recommend.

Nice escape

The interior is like an outdoor park with trees, a stream with small bridges and walkways as if outdoors but you are indoors. Generous Manager's reception in the evening and fabulous full breakfast buffet in morning with everything you could want including omelets to order. Pool and hot tub are bonus. Great rooms that have private bedroom and living space that easily accommodates 2 more people. Location is 1 minute from major highways - can't be better.

Review

I stayed at the hotel while on business for our government. The people at the front desk were always very nice and helpful. I stayed in room 550, the carpet was very dirty with burn marks all around the living room area. The towel rack in the bathroom was hanging off the wall on one side. It was like that when I moved in and it was still that way when I left two days later. The cleaning people when I would ask for extra towel or what ever, they didn't speak any english. So if I needed something from them I'd have to call down to the front desk and they would have to find them and explained to them what I wanted. Come on now, can't you hire someone that can speak english???????????

Non-accommodating

I asked for a non-smoking room and they gave me a smoking room. I was miserable for 2 days. I even told them that I was pregnant and can't stand the smell of cigarette, the front desk did not even make any effort at all. It was the worst stay ever! All my clothes smell like cigarette smoke.

So-So

A little noisey -- families/kids early and wedding parties late. AND the heat was stuck on high all night (broken and I was too tired to move rooms). I'm still parched!

our little getaway

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel. I really like the fact that they have an indoor pool because you can enjoy this place in the winter as well. The hotel looks like a safari. I really like the live fish they have. Everything you want in a hotel they have. This definately is one of the nicer hotels that we have stayed in. It's just a tab bit pricey.

It's not that far away from A new and upcoming mall called Destiny. There are a lot of places you can dine off of Erie Blvd. It's Not to far from The Great NYS Fair.

Hotel Needs Updating

The location of the hotel is great, but it needs major renovations. The carpets are stained and dirty, the wallpapers peeling off, the furniture is old and has definately seen better days. The walls are paper thin and you can everything in the room next to you. Upon arrival we entered our room and the people in the room next to ours were so loud that I had to go back down to the desk and request a different room. They were great about doing this but I must say that both rooms were equally in poor condition. I would not stay there again because of this. There is a Hilton Garden Inn about 1 mile from there that we stayed at previously and the rooms are very large and lovely. I will definately go back there again the next time.

There are many nice restaurants about two miles from the hotel on Erie Blvd in Dewitt. Just drive up and down the strip and you can choose from a number of great restaurants.
