Not worth staying, dont get deceived by the looks and the fountain
I had the reservation to lay back and take some rest on by way back from Niagara. The first thing i noticed up on arrival at this hotel at 7:00pm is couple of hookers waiting to be picked up at the front door of the lobby, Disgusting. The receptionist was so rude, he had a laugh on his face while i was approaching the desk, i might look hideous from the journey but that is not the attitude a host should be having. Coming to the amenities, The hotel sucks for big time. There is no proper illumination in the hallway and smell cat in the hallway. The bath towels provided were old and were worse than that were provided at a super8motel. The shower head does not have any pressure and no vending machine in hallway to have bottle of water. I would advise to choose another hotel since the chances to get shot if gone for a walk outside are highly likely. Worst neighborhood.

No excuse
Made reservations two and a half months prior to travel date and were still not given the type of room we reserved. I was given the "telephone runaround" by a number of quite indifferent staff members for close to an hour and never could get to speak to the manager on duty. One of them stated that booking through a "third party" instead of directly through the hotel was the reason we were not given priority for the type of room we reserved. Also, waited in an unacceptably long line just to check-in. Very disappointing experience.

Not that great at all
I was very disappointed in the Adam's Mark. It definitely did not live up to my expectations for the price. The room was so so and the hotel must have been serving fish when we arrived, the whole hotel reeked of it. Definitely would not stay again.

Interesting Visit
Arrived at the hotel at 3pm for check in. Only had 3 people working the front desk, even though the hotel was sold out for a concert and a convention. Once we waited in long line to check in staff could not find our reservation. I was told that is because the site I used to make the reservation does't use the same reservation software as other websites and it has to be entered manually by the hotel. First woman couldn't find reservation when another woman joined her in searching for the reservation. The second women left the desk to go check things out, leaving the original woman standing there in an uncomfortable silence. This left only one person at the check in desk dealing with the line. After five minutes the original woman went in the back to check on what had happened. After a short wait I was told that my reservation was not made and to wait over there until someone could come help me. After a very short wait the third woman called us over to her station. She had found my reservation under no shows for a date in January 2012, the same date I set up the reservation, but not for the date in April in which I needed the reservation. After showing her my confirmation email and her discussing the situation on the phone with accounting she told me that someone at the hotel put the wrong date in the computer for my reservation. She did find a similar room (one of only two available in the entire hotel) and everything worked out. I have to say the front staff was very friendly and accomindating and this review is more about their scheduling errors. The woman who finally found a room for us even warned us that the room may be a bit noisey due to its location near a highway. This was not the case, but I appreciated her honesty. If you book make sure you have printed confirmation from the site used to make the reservation and you might even wish to call ahead for confirmation. Also, whom ever does the scheduling for the staff needs to make sure more employees are available to check in guests on busy Friday nights. The staff was very good however, it was underminded by management. As for the cleanliness the room was very clean, however there were some stains on a pillow case that didn't come out in the wash. Finally value, I know that hotels raise rates according to concerts and such, but it is annoyning to see the rate increased about 120 percent. Especially when you pay over 200 on a Friday night and they try to get you to stay Saturday night for 80.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Chef's Restaurant. Great Italian Food for reasonable price. Cool photo's of tons of famous people who have eaten there grace the walls. We walked it (about 2 miles) but easy to get to by car.

Go somewhere else
We had a reservation made through Or bitz, and they told us they didn't have a room for us. We were told it would be a 60-minute wait, and they would call us when the room was ready. Good thing we took a room at another hotel, because they never called. Whatever you do, don't stay at Here. Try Em bassy Suites or Ham pton Inn on Delaware Ave. They're close, and cabs are cheap in downtown Buffalo.

Terribe service and severely understaffed
If you are doing anything that needs to be done quickly, including leaving for business in the area, don't expect it to happen quickly. One person served the entire dining area. Waited 20 minutes to get seated, and would have left had it not been snowing outside. Dinner took over 3 hours, and I was alone. Tried calling for a wake up, and no one answered. Called security, and no one answered. Called room service, and no one answered. Went to the front desk -- and waited 20 minutes for someone to show. Get the idea?

DON'T STAY HERE
The Adam's Mark in Buffalo was an absolutely atrocious trip. The saga started at check-in. Apparently a number of people the night before did not check out by noon. Even so, by 4 PM when we arrived, the staff was still working to clean the rooms. There was a line of more than 20 people waiting to check in. We stood in line for over an hour before even getting this information. By the time we got to the front, they informed us that they did not have our room, but they could give us a different, lower room but for no discount. Not even discounted or free parking. We finally got to our room after 1 hr 20 minutes after arriving. The room was OK, but questionable in cleanliness. We stayed the night, but when we went to shower in the morning the bathroom flooded and drained into the main room. We complained again, but again no additional accommodations were made. During this time we found out that the main lobby bathrooms were out of order and that other guests had issues both with the restaurant (over 1 hour before even getting drink orders) and room service. Overall, this was a horrible hotel and if not for the location near the HSBC arena we would have probably left before even checking in. Pathetic!

never again...
Booked the executive room, got to the room and it was was the standard. Went to call the desk and the phone jack wasnt even connected to the wall. Talked to the front desk and did get moved to the correct room. It still didnt look like the online picture. The wallpaper was ripping off the wall in a few areas. The towels smelled terrible, luckily we brought our own. We would not stay here again on our future trips to Buffalo.
