Nice but Pricey

This was my first time in Brooklyn so I really did not know what to expect. The hotel is very nice. Clean comfortable and the staff was very nice. It is not in downtown Manhatten so you have to pay through the nose to get anywhere. The restaurant was good but not great. $75.OO for three people at an average breakfast buffet. If you want a safe nice place for your first time I would recommend it. If you know the area I think you can do a little better on price. Overall I was satisfied.

My review of New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge

This hotel is in a very good location; easy access to subway. You can walk over the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan. Many restaurants are within walking distance. The check in was easy and efficient, and the staff very accomodating. We had a refrigerator in the room which was handy. The maid service was not the greatest. There was an empty bottle and some napkins under the bed, and the refrigerator had food left in it from the prior guests. The glasses were not replenished the next day. The room itself was very nice and comfortable with a flat screen tv and extremely comfortable beds.

Great value!

This hotel was a bargain. It is close to shopping areas and two subway stations within a block. Friendly staff. I closed my trip by walking the Brooklyn bridge from Manhattan to the hotel.

Great price for a great location

My family and I stayed at the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge for the holidays and we liked it so much that we are already making plans for the next year. We got a great room on the pool floor with everything that we needed for our 5 nights stay; a fridge for snacks, hairdryer, ironing table and iron,2 phones, nice bedding, gorgeous bathroom, toiletries etc. The service from room service to the doorman was excellent. The only down side was that the room was kind of distant from the elevator and the view was not that of the Brooklyn Bridge but of a side building wall. Regardless,we had a wonderful stay for an excellent price. Tip: Cross the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan on foot during the morning hours with your camera gear and enjoy a great view.To get to the bridge, leave the hotel front entrance, turn right, walk straight to the bridge.

Juniors restaurant is a must. The reuben sandwich was the best I've had in many years. Try to sit in Ashfield's section, he's a very cool waiter. Walk to Montague street and stroll to the promenade the view is awesome, esp at sunset. Take a short subway ride to central park and walk around in manhattan.

My review of New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge

The Brooklyn Marriot was mcuh more than I anticipated for Dwontown Brooklyn. A very clean and well appointed hotel. The price still seemed a bit steep for a hotel that doesnt even offer spa services. I would readily recommend the hotel again.

Great place just across the bridge!

The Marriott Brooklyn Bridge was a real pleasure--great rooms, of a size not often found in NYC, an amazing fitness center, including a lap pool, and very reasonable hotel parking rates, where we could take our car in and out at will. The people were all very friendly, both at the front desk and in the restaurant, going out of their way to help. Yes, it's in another borough, but with many subway lines, right there, it's as convenient as most places in Manhattan. We got around quite easily, went to a number of museums and other sights, and came back to a very comfortable place.

Great get away.

This Marriott was excellent, from the rooms to location. The subway system was right outside on the same block. It was a pleasant atmosphere and you could get away from the fast pace of down town. There is a shopping mall a block away. The doormen was VERY helpful. Just a Great place for the family. I will go back and stay.

Best Sweet 16 present

The Marriot at the Booklyn Bridge was absolutely amazing. The room was perfect and the view of the Brooklyn & Manhattan Bridge was even better. This was our first visit and rest assured we will visit again. The hotel staff was extremely helpful getting us around the city. All in all my daughter said this was the best birthday yet.
