I wasn't expecting too much since generally in NYC you have to pay closer to $250-300 to guarantee that you aren't going to end up in some sh**hole, but this place was fine. The room was clean, not perfect - small stains on the curtains and a
little stain on the sheet - but obviously still clean.
The staff was extremely friendly and they actually had free hot breakfast (eggs&bacons with continental stuff too) every morning which is pretty insane.
Its not the greatest area, but not too bad. Its about a 5-10 minute walk to the subway&Barclay's center, there are a couple good restaurants around and a lot of bodegas. Probably not a great idea to walk from the subway to the hotel late at night, but otherwise a safe area.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Parking at hotel was very expensive, but there its not hard at all to park on the street in the area, and you are parking outside (no gate) at the hotel so there's really no point in wasting your money.
