Reception personel was really helpful, always looking to assist the tourists. I left with very good feelings toward their behaviour. Breakfast should have been richer (it was not up to the level of a BEST WESTERN PLUS Class).
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Long walk from hotel
Definitely a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Arts in Manhatan. Excellent Museum.
You get a lot more for $100/night in Brooklyn than you can in Manhattan. Well, actually the most you can get for $100/night in Manhattan is a hostel, not a hotel. This was not only a solid three-star hotel, but it has a five-star location, since
it's only 20 steps from the R-train which takes you to Manhattan.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
This location is great for travel into and out of JFK, which is now my favorite of the three NYC area airports to book.
Nothing fancy. Great place to stay if you value cleanliness and don't mind having to take the subway to all attractions.
Located on the same block of R line subway stop
Room was extremely clean/new and fairly spacious
Grocery store on the corner
Reasonably priced rooms
Although I didn't use it, there's a gym in the hotel
No attractions or good places to eat within walking distance / immediate neighborhood, although fairly quiet, is not too appealing
Not all front desk staff were helpful or friendly - Upon check-in I was not told about breakfast or the gym
