Relaxed stay in Brooklyn
The hotel tries very hard to be "hip". This is a lot better than stodgy or bland. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was exceptionally large for NYC, cheaper than a Manhattan stay for the same amenities. I would have appreciated a free breakfast but the costs in the cafe were not bad. I didn't like that the Community hot tub was out of order due to abuse, IT's in a revitalizing neighborhood so this may come with the territory. Nevertheless this was a minor inconvenience since there is more to do in NYC than Hot Tubs. Great HD flat screen television for sports. Only a short walk from the subway and one stop to Manhattan-10 minutes to Greenwich Village and 15 minutes to mid-town. Overall, I would stay again if the rates stay the same.

Mile End is a great lunch or breakfast place on Hoyt St. It was a 5 minute walk. Montreal bagels, smoked meat and a relaxed atmosphere were great. Prices not bad either- $5. for breakfast was a good NY price.

Visiting friends in Brooklyn
This hotel was very close to Fort Greene which is why we chose it, but the price on Cheaptickets was great as well. The hotel turned out to be very good. We will definitely return for their wedding!

Great for the value!
Close to A BUNCH of subway stations and at only 1 stop from Manhattan, the location of this hotel is great for the value. I enjoyed the modern, clean, hip, young vibe of the hotel. The room was was very clean, comfortable and well sized. The only negative comment about this hotel is just one supervisor from their staff. He made me feel like canceling everything and just going somewhere else the minute I got there from the airport. He had the biggest attitude and treated me very rudely. Fortunately I told one of the other staff members about him, she apologized on his behalf and since that moment I didn't have any other bitter encounters with staff members. Bartender was very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and the hotel management should be more careful with their staff selection.

Williamsburg cool nightlife is a short/cheap cab ride away from the hotel. Lower east side is also very close.

funky brookyn hotel
the street it is on is still developing (though it is next to the sheraton), but the hotel was different in a funky way, had a hopping bar, and was modern and comfortable. i will definitely consider returning!

Fun for the young looking for a good time.
I wish we would have known that the sky bar was only open on the nights we weren't staying there... Downstairs bar closed early too, but the bartender was fantastic and helpful getting us to another bar close by. The room was comfortable and had trendy young style.

Nice hotel
Nice hotel, except that we got the handicap accessible room and everything was mid thigh high. But if we had a different room, I am sure our stay would have been perfect.

The Dekalb Market is 2 blocks away on Flatbush Ave. Really cute, artsy shops and natural organic foods!!! Really nice find!!

Fiance proposed on Brooklyn bridge
Wonderful hotel and staff, however they put me on hold and walked from the train. If we would have known how far it was we would have cabbed it. Not a great neighborhood but lots of shopping. 5 minute cab ride from the bridge. Prepare to walk! Train station around the corner was closed. The hotel was modern, clean, nice staff.

Dont try to navigate the subway if the station around the corner is still closed. Different lines go in different directions.
