Personal service and attention in a convenient Buffalo-area hotel
The Holiday Inn Buffalo Amherst delivers personalized service and attention more traditionally associated with boutique-style hotels. Guest rooms are smoke free and tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and feature satellite TV and radio. An on-site restaurant serves up tasty treats throughout the day. A complementary airport shuttle operates 24 hours a day. A fitness center, indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi round out the Holiday Inn Buffalo Amherst hotel’s offerings.
Highlights
  • Complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle and free parking
  • Keurig coffee maker in every room
  • Well-equipped fitness center, pool and Jacuzzi
Rooms
The 199 guest rooms are smoke free and available with either two double beds or a king bed, all tastefully decorated with traditional furnishings and décor. Additions include a Keurig coffeemaker, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, telephone with voicemail, satellite TV with premium movie channels and XM satellite music and Wi-Fi.
Features
The Holiday Inn Buffalo Amherst is a non-smoking hotel with convenient access to all of the top sites in Buffalo and Niagara. Complimentary 24-hour airport transportation is a welcome, cost-savings convenience and valet service (available Monday through Friday; fee applies) is especially helpful with Buffalo winters that frequently dip into the single digits. A well-equipped fitness center allows strict adherence to one's at-home exercise regimen, while an indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi provide rejuvenating recreational diversions.

Convenient

The hotel was conveniently located right off of I 290. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the area. It is located on a very busy street (we had to take a left to go right.) We were there to look at SUNY Buffalo and had no trouble getting to the campus. The staff was very friendly. The room and linens had a very strong smell of cleaning solution. It was nice to have free wifi, cable and a refrigerator.

Not worth.

We stayed at the same hotel couple of years back and it was great experience that's why we selected the same hotel but this time, it was night mare. On very first day at hotel, we didn't want to go anywhere because of early morning flight and so we had plan to stay at hotel and rest but after 2 hrs of check-in, the entire passage was filled with smell of bleach and eyes were burning. We had to leave the room against our wish and as a result, my 6 yr old was not fresh even on second day. Will never go to this hotel again in my life.

Outstanding location and amenities.

Everything was great. If there would be one suggestion it would be to put the ice machine in the same location as the vending machines. Two separate trips should not be necessary. The staff was wonderful and parking quite convenient. Turning left out of the parking lot during rush hour can be a challenge but certainly the immediate hotel entrance following the I-290 exit is as easy as it can be.

There is almost any type of restaurant available within 1 mile either direction of the hotel, including shopping plazas and a quality mall (about 2 miles away).

Holiday Inn BUFFALO-AMHERST

This hotel was nice, nothing out of the ordinary. The rooms were pretty decent and the bed was comfortable. However, I felt more should have been given for your money. For example, a fridge and microwave should have been in each room, a ice jacuzzi should have be present (as stated online) and the pool should have been much cleaner.

Family road trip

No breakfast bar, you had to go downstairs to get coffee. Wifi was very weak, came back from a long day sightseeing to find a hand written note taped to the door saying we had to go to the front desk for another key. No elevator. Could not get into the pool area or workout room, cause the key did not work.
