just for the night!!
I took my family to Niagara so we didn't spend much time in the rooms. The smell of smoke or just old surroundings hit me once we reached the area of our room. The bathroom was small there were 2 adults and 1 child per room and they were adjoining so it gave a little more open feel but still felt confined. Liked the fact that the windows opened an inch for fresh air. Traffic around hotel kinda hectic and the restaurant was not a good value for what u got 3 pancakes for $8 no side of bacon or eggs!! That's $3 extra and that's only for meat. Pool was really nice and heated and the only thing that made me smile. Other than that, the stay was ok. Staff was EXCELLENT!!!

OK stay
The overall stay was good. The room and hotel as a whole was a little outdated and could use to move to be more modernized. Overall the hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Terrible check-in experience
When I checked in at the front counter, I was told I had already checked in. It is ridiculous, I had just arrived how can I check in a few hours ahead? And the staff seems didn't trust me and check my photo IDs, emails and almost all personal information. After they checked me a half hour, they could confirm I am the right person, and finally, provided me another room instead. It is terrible.

rooms need updating.....
A hotel with musty smelly hallways and musty rooms. The rooms are 2 star or below. The Staff is 4 star - very professional and prompt, but even they cannot make a turnip smell like a rose. Also no one likes housekeeping going through their luggage. While I was out I purposely left my luggage on the luggage rack and knew exactly the placement of items in luggage, shirt i left on top was put back sideways and every noteworthy item had been examined and put back wrong. Luckily all my valuable items to be stolen were with me.

Save yourself the Time and Money
This MOTEL has a jacuzzi, room with some treadmills, and a small pool (which likely hasn't been cleaned in a while). The beds are lumpy and uncomfortable, pillows unyielding, (at least the bathroom in the rom looked clean) walls are paper thin, there are ants at the pool and all over the bathroom near it. The restaurant is mediocre (Max's), by 6pm on Friday night they ran out of the "All you can eat ribs"! Ha! Dinner just started. But worst of all, the staff really doesn't care what happens (like 8 super noisy people across the hall-in one room - illegally, 5 of them largely unsupervised children running in and out, in and out, slamming the door 1 am, 2 am, 6 am, and on...)and I had earplugs! Even other guests complained. (I called ahead and requested a quiet room, away from traffic and mechanical noise - and reiterated this upon my arrival, as they were going to put me over the laundry room). They have no security, and the "supervisors" have no authority, and their main function is just to pretend that the conditions of the place are not what they are. The Frontdesk "supervisor" said "oh, well, I wasn't there...as if that's supposed to...?? what? What kind of accountability is that? Or even concern? An employee tried to enter my room at 3:30pm when I was napping, (thankfully I had the metal doorjamb engaged) and afterward, went across the hall to smoke (in a non-smoking hotel). The lobby is the only place one can go besides the room, and it's freezing, the doors constantly open, and it's like a fishbowl. I should have gone to the Red Roof Inn, and would have saved 65% of what I spent to be uncomfortable and unhappy at the H.I. -and I heard it's pretty decent there. Not even some croissants or ANY kind of breakfast offering - (or discount for guests) just coffee...and Lipton tea in the freezing lobby! You may as well go up Niagara Falls Blvd in either direction and grab a different spot. And beware of how you make reservations b/c management will be quick to defer any responsibility if you are dissatisfied (which you will be). Not even an offering of ANYthing to encourage me to return (which I wouldn't) - I was exhausted and miserable on Sunday morning - and I was NOT there for a "holiday" I was there because a friend was in the hospital - I needed to sleep, and to do work, and to focus on my Godson (age 12 who slept over one night, and swam in the pool one morning). Sad. And makes me angry.

wont be back
I grew up in bufallo and go up several times. This time the Holiday Inn was the cheapest. We have stayed at other Holiday Inn with no problems but we will never be back to this one or nor will my parents. The shower floor was like a waterbed the bathroom smelled horrible cracks in the ceiling. When looking for restraunts it mentioned the one in the hotel but if you wanted others you had to fo to the front desk.

Short drive from hotel
Staying at the hotel in Amherst kept our prices down as we visited Niagara Falls the next day with only 13 miles to drive. The cost was less than it would have been at the Falls.
